Trivia: During Johnny's vision at the mask store, if you look close, you can see that one of the twins has a scar on his cheek. (edit) Lenny's confession would never hold up in court because of the way it was obtained. (edit) The twins plan is flawed. Johnny could have easily seen their hoax, it was just luck that he only saw the "murder." It's as if the twins planned which particular visions Johnny got of them, but how would they be able to do that? (edit) Why does Walt put Bruce in charge of following the twins instead of a certified police officer? (edit) You can see one of the Todd twins move noticeably when he's supposedly "frozen" in Johnny's vision at the mask store. (edit)

Steinbecks' "Of Mice and Men" is a novel following two men, George and Lennie, during the Great Depression trying to find work. Although, they were not twins or brothers for that matter, the companions and friends, George and Lennie, share some similarities to the characters used in The Dead Zone episode, "The Looking Glass." Both George characters had dreams. Both Lennie characters had dreams also, but those of which contained George right beside him. In Of Mice and Men, Lennie is mentally impaired, but is very strong, unlike the Lennie in The Dead Zone.

In Of Mice and Men, there was a character named Candy who believed her life had been ruined by marrying Curly. To satisfy her boredom, she seems to hit on every man working at the farm George and Lennie work at. Near the end of the story she gets Lennie alone and messes with his mind by telling him that George will leave him; that he is a burden to George. Near the end, Lennie kills Candy by accident because he has no control over his strength. In the end, Lennie runs because Curly and the whole farm wants him dead and it is George who pulls the trigger.

In The Dead Zone, Lennie kills George's girlfriend, Fernanda, because he says that she was getting in the way of their future together and that she was trying to separate them. Lennie did it so he and his brother could stay together forever. In the end, George does not want Lennie to be his brother anymore, which is almost similar to Lennie's death by George's hands in Of Mice and Men. (edit)
