- Ralph uses the suit's power of invisibility for the first time in this episode. edit »
- Ralph is clearly supposed to be covering a great deal of ground while flying over a huge desert looking for a missing plane. However, during this mission Ralph crash-lands in the exact same spot at least three times. edit »
- This episode was first aired only two days after John Hinckley, Jr. shot then-U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Because of this, references to Ralph's last name being "Hinkley" were hastily edited out or obscured from this episode as follows:
Rhonda's line calling Ralph "Mr. Hinkley" is overdubbed to have her call him "Mr. H".
When Pamela's mother waxes rhapsodic about what a great name her daughter's boyfriend has, we only hear her say "Ralph" -- everytime she says "Hinkley", a car noisily drives by, obscuring the audio.
When a waiter tells Pam she has "a call from Mister --", the shot immediately changes to a close up of Pam. It's clear from Pam's reaction (and the abrupt edit) that the line was originally "a call from Mister Hinkley", but that the final word was edited out.
Curiously, at the very end of the episode, when Pam's father addresses Ralph's students, he clearly refers to Ralph as "Mr. Hinkley". There was obviously no way to edit out or overdub this speech. edit » - Pam's father is revealed to be the mayor of Deer Lick Falls, Minnesota. This is an in-joke: writer Juanita Bartlett was also a writer on "The Rockford Files", which had a memorable 1977 episode called "The Mayor's Committee From Deer Lick Falls." edit »
- Ralph: Tell me again, what do I have to fly over.
Bill: Just over those two buildings.
Ralph: That's what I thought you said. edit »
