Has anyone seen the episode that was never shown on TV but is in the DVD box set? What do you think of it?

I never knew there was a "lost" episode. Thanks.

If you rent it, the episode is on the last disc of season one.

The "real" missing episodes are on Season 3's last disc. "Vanity, Says the Preacher" is a MUST see!

I wouldn't say it should never had been made, but at the same time there was still more than could have been done with Ralph and Bill. This series clearly was cancelled before it's time, because the network executives didn't get it.

The reason was worthwhile comes from watching the extras which show that Robert Culp was really heavily involved in the series and trying to relaunch the series, and hearing what he has to say on creating that episode makes it worthwhile.

Basically, it's just a woman in the suit. Nothing new is added to the series. They try to play up the personality clash between her and Maxwell. Worth a watch, just to see what they did.

The episode was well covered in the summary section of TV Tome, and somehow that summary has been moved to the notes section of TV.com, so you can still get the same great info. I've always wondered who wrote the summaries for GAH at TV Tome.

I agree with you on the last part. And, it should also have been tacked on to the Season Three DVD, not Season 1! Because, the other way around is very confusing.

In addition, the epilogue never explains why the whale-watching boat was sabotaged! Were drug smugglers using trained dolphins as narco-mules, or something?

The Heroine pilot was made years after the season ended!

the last four episodes were finally shown in syndication after being canceled.

If an episode wasn't shown in the first season it likely was shown in the second season instead.

the show was cancelled because ABC put it up against Magnum PI and then moved it to a 'safer' spot on the schedule... up against the number ONE show of the 80's, DALLAS!

Give it up for programming geniuses!

Yeah, ABC and Cannell were constantly going it about how the show should be presented (the 'new people' at the network wanted a straightforward 'Superhero' show - Cannell said no... thank GOD).

So, as a reward, in Season 3, GAH was moved from Wednesday at 7pm CST to FRIDAY at 8pm CST, up against a couple of little shows you've never heard of before called KNIGHT RIDER and DALLAS.

Bastards...
