a great season premiere. hide show

Since Lauren and Jason broke up, Lauren gave Jason all of his stuff back. Of course, she was sad and she started crying. Heidi tried to comfort Lauren about her decision, since Jason was such a bad person to her. The place that Heidi works at, which is Bolthouse Offices, is opening another new club named Area. Everyone goes there for the opening. That's where they spot Brody. At Teen Vogue, Whitney gets back from her internship to Paris. Lauren thinks that she should've gone to Paris, instead of turning it down to stay with Jason. Audrina thinks that Heidi is mad at her for some reason. Spencer plays Heidi by going out with Audrina a couple of times. Audrina and Spencer hang out a couple of times, but Audrina decides to break it off. Heidi tells Lauren that she's felt weird lately, and that she has been nautious for about a week. She decides to take a pregnancy test. It comes out negative.

the drama in LA is back =) hide show

So it's time to come back from summer vacation for everyone in L.A. Time to get down to business. LC left season one turning down not going to paris so she could spend the summer with jason at the beach, but that didn't go as planned, they broke up, and at the beginning of out with the old, it shows laure taking jason all of his stuff back to him. It was really sad to watch. Lauren heads back to teen vogue to work, and whitney gets credit from the boss for going to paris and having such a good time, while LC gets it rubbed in her face for turning such a great oppurtunity down to be with a guy all summer, which didn't work out, so she is already full of regret, then the boss throws more at her to feel horrible. Poor LC, maybe she can go next summer. Heidi is dating a guy spenser, who is also seeing Audrina on the side, he is playing Heidi, but Heidi likes him too much she doesn't recognize, she has a feeling, but yet she forgives him, hopefully she realizes it. She takes a pregnancy test at the end of the show, but i doubt she really is. K, bye!

Jason and Lauren have broken up and Heidi finds herself in a love triangle with Audrina. hide show

Lauren breaks up with Jason resulting in her regret of not going to Paris. When returning to her job at Teen Vogue, Lisa Love adds to the regret that she is feeling. Heidi is going out with a guy that is a complete player and is going out with Audrina while dating Heidi. She sees them together and gets upset which should make for a great storyline with the fight against the two. At the end she might be pregnant but we all know that she is not going to be. There was good music as always and looks like it should be a great second season.

The Hills returns where we last left off. It's the end of the summer and LC is left with dealing with the ramifications choosing to spend the summer with Jason as oppose to going to Paris. Heidi and Audrina friendship hits a rough patch. hide show

I don't know if it was too revealing last season for them to initially list - "this season on the Hills" perhaps because they built up misleading scenes such as LC in a wedding dress - that lead us to believe she may be getting married. But this season didn't have a sneak peek and those of us who got a glimpse of the trailer found most of the scenes were from the first episode.

This season they caught up the audience with a summary of the summer. We are quickly confirmed that LC and Jason has indeed broken up even though shortly after the season finale last season magazines had this story everywhere.

Heidi now has a new boy, Spencer and LC is struggling with single life without Jason. This episode we get reminded that perhaps we shouldn't choose love over a once in a lifetime opportunity such as an internship in Paris, something you want to do with the rest of your life.

"Lauren didn't go to Paris, she's always going to be known as the girl who didn't go to Paris. Did you regret that decision? How was your summer at the beach with your boyfriend, did that work out for you?" That such a sharp stab, but perhaps, being part of a teen magazine you become informed of all the happenings of "celebrities" including your own interns.

Although, Heidi's pregnancy scare does keep us pretty hyped up desperate to see whether or not she's actually pregnant. But of course, even if she was - we know she wouldn't be keeping the child otherwise, we'd hear about it or at least get a glimpse of it in the trailer. Since of course, that would get even more viewers for MTV.

This episode builds up some of the drama that will play out in a few episodes including the rift between Audrina and Heidi and now LC's newly single status. LC will probably always be reminded of her regret and from the trailer it seems after placing so much trust into Jason and having that not work out she doesn't intend to fully get herself caught up in a relationship again.

Although, it's good to have a "small cast" so to speak, but who wants more characters into the lives of LC and Heidi? Perhaps even more Whitney outside the walls of Vogue magazine, so that we get a slight glimpse of perhaps, a closer bond between LC and Whitney and Heidi with her co-workers - to make the friendship circle or storyline more detailed and diverse.

I mean I love LC and Heidi - but does it makes me wonder whether there is enough happenings and substance to build this season. For one, I'd like to see Stephen in LC's life again. Admit it, most of you want to see him again too, outside of MTV Total Request Live. As well as perhaps some other Laguna Beach members, just to see how those people that LC used to be connected to are doing and really, whether most high school friends, are simply just that? Do we really go our separate ways and never keep in touch again, or worst, let fame get to our head?

    drama is back!! hide show

Drama…I still can’t believe that Lauren didn’t go to Paris. If I were the editor of Teen Vogue I wouldn’t have given her the job back after she turned down the offer to go to Paris. I like the fact that the editor was being kinda rude to her about it. It’s like she thinks that because she has some fame from the show that she can do what ever she wants. And I guess that Teen Vogue is getting some publicity from the show, but still. There are many girls out there that deserve it way more than she does.
