Episode Summary

The secret ideological organization of ACROSS has but one goal in mind: world domination. To that end, ACROSS leader Ilpallazzo sends his overenthusiastic (if somewhat incompetent) agent Excel Excel to get the ball rolling by working towards the takeover of F City, F Prefecture. Excel's first mission is to rid the world of the evils of manga artists and animators, starting with series creator Koshi Rikdo. Will Excel be able to complete her mission and hold down a part-time job with a foreigner named Pedro without getting killed or causing chaos for all around her? It looks doubtful…

Episode Cast and Crew

View All
  • Koshi Rikdo mentioned that he couldn't play himself because he lived too far from the recording studio. []
  • While recording the ending theme, which features Menchi bark-singing into a microphone, voice actress Satomi Koorogi actually performed the song while kneeling on the floor like a dog and with the microphone lowered to her level. []
  • In the English manga, Ilpalazzo's name is spelled as "Il Palazzo". []
More Trivia
  • (Fake) Credit to: Ms. Calvello's Wardrobe by Straight Jackets "R" Us []
  • Today's Experiment...... Failed []
  • In the Japanese version, both Good Excel and Bad Excel have Kansai accents, which is a regional Japanese accent. It is similar to a southern accent in English. So, in the English dub, Good and Bad Excels have southern accents, except Good Excel had that accent for a short while. []
More Notes
  • Foreman: Hahahaha! Excellent, Pedro. You really are a hard worker.
Pedro: Pedro could do all this before breakfast. Of course, he ate his lunch a few hours ago.
    (Other construction workers laugh)
Foreman: Damn! You've even picked up on these stupid Japanese word-play jokes, haven't ya? []
  • (Excel and Pedro fall off a girder.)
    Excel: Billie Jean!
    Pedro: John Travolta! []
  • Great Will of the Macrocosm: Excel... Excel... thou must not kill the original comic book author.
Excel: I'm so sorry. I suppose it was wrong. []
More Quotes
  • Foreman: Just don't tell that Gomez.
This could be an allusion to the fact that there will eventually be a person named Gomez who ruins Pedro's life later in the series. []
  • Excel and Pedro: Guarandoo!
The origin of "Guarandoo" is unclear, but it could possibly refer to the word in a singer's album title, but the word had no meaning. The singer, a man, wore a skinpy outfit, and people wondered if the hair on his stomach wasn't from... well, down there. So "Guarandoo" came to mean "thick body hair", which is now the common usage of the word. Nonetheless, what this has to with the way Excel and Pedro use it is anyone's guess. []
  • Nabeshin: Lupin the 3rd
Nabeshin's clothes closely resemble the outift that anime character Lupin the 3rd wears. []
