The Liver Birds (pronounced 'Lyva') follows the exploits of two young female friends who both have a keen interest in the opposite sex, sharing a flat in Huskisson Street in Liverpool in the 1970s.
There was a short-lived revival in 1996 with Sandra and Beryl brought back together, 20 years on from the original.
