    Cute episode. hide show

Quite a cute little episode, nothing heavy but still interesting.

I liked Jane insulting the 'grieving' husband – they tried to do it discretely and he was a jerk so Jane did it loudly. It's the advantage Jane has over the cops – he's only a consultant, he can say or do whatever he wants and they can't touch him. How many times do the cops have to hold their tongues? Then Jane throws his drink in Casanova's face – good on him.

Janes got taste – Cho looks great. Every woman – and several of the men – was openly staring. Who would have pegged Cho as a ladies man? He was really sweet with Katie though.

Alona Tal – Never seen her in anything but Supernatural. She's not half as pretty here.

    Just started watching... hide show

When a woman is shot dead at an upmarket resort, suspects include the woman's wealthy husband, her libertine lover, a former assistant and a jealous waitress. To get to the truth, Jane sets up an elaborate sting involving Cho and some unsuspecting young women. Just started to watch this, this is the first episode I have watched because I have started watching late. I'm still not sure about what I think of the characters but I thought the episode I watched was ok and I will keep watching the show to see if it improves, it really picked up mid way through. I rate it a 8 out of 10.

Great episode. Gotta love this show. hide show

A married woman is killed in bed with her lover. There are many suspects, the jealous husband, the lover, a former worker for the woman who was accused stealing from her and it is not until the end that the suspect is revealed. Patrick Jane uses his acute intuition and attention to detail to weave his way through the suspects. The lover, named Paul Fricke is a man who has a "skill for picking up women", kind of a "Casanova in his own mind" is also shot when the woman is killed. The CBI team follows up with him several times not ruling him out. The husband is very arrogant and has contempt for everyone around him, but his alibi checks out as well. The ex-girlfriend of Paul Fricke has something to do with the killer but Jane just can't figure out what. In the end they setup an undercover operation where Cho picks up the ex-girlfriend in the hotel bar while Fricke is there. This seems to disturb Fricke and the CBI team uses hidden cameras to follow the killer to a room that they are in. The killer turns out to be the hotel manager who was in love with the ex-girlfriend and was trying to kill Fricke but accidentally killed the woman he was in bed with.

Nice episode with plenty of drama and humour. hide show

This episode was dramatic and at the same time quite a lot of fun. Patrick Jane not only explains his theories on female psychology but also covertly talks about male psychology too. This is particularly clear when he talks about emotional buttons to press and says that men are like toasters but women are more like accordians. There was some great humourous writing on this episode and the cast all played their roles rather well, not just Patrick. I hope there will be more episodes in this vein but I would definitely like more on the whole Red John thing.

The team investigates the murder of a woman, discovered naked in bed at a hotel room. hide show

This was a great and a funny episode. It was nice to see the sensitive and angry side of Patrick. He was really irritated when he thought that Keith Wolcott did not respect his dead wife, or when the killer thought that the victim had it coming. I liked all the scenes with Cho in this episode, especially the last one with Katie. We also see that Patrick is not ready to let go of his family. He is still wearing the ring and nicely rejects the company of the woman who approach him. I also noticed that this is the first episode that does not have the word “red” in the title.

  • (Teresa Lisbon nudges Patrick Jane, who is lying on the CBI couch, hard.)
    Patrick: What?
Teresa: You know damn well what. You assaulted a man.

    Teresa: Technically, that's assault.
Patrick: Technically, he's an ass. He deserved it. []
