Meet Nat and Alex Wolff, two musical brothers who have been writing and performing songs since preschool. With their band The Silver Boulders, Nat and Alex think that nothing could go wrong in their life. They have fans everywhere, all five of the members are the best of friends, and they have had chart-topping songs. They are living the good life, until everything takes a sudden and hurtful turn.

The band is nominated for a video-music award, but bad horoscopes make the kids overly cautious about their chances. And what happens to Nat while talking to Rosalina?

Nat must learn to cry on cue for an upcoming video and to also make Rosalina think he is deep. Alex is awesome at crying on cue and offers to help Nat for a price.

Nat does stand-up comedy to impress Rosalina, but isn't very good. He's determined to prove his sense of humor. He looks closer to home for better material.

The band, Mr. Wolff, Cooper, & Jesse take a day off and go to the beach. When Nat catches Qaasim flirting with Rosalina, he tries to do the same to get Rosalina to fall for him. Thomas and David see Nat getting more attention from girls. They try to do the same. Alex tries to break a record for sand counting.

Alex tries a new clothing look, but pretty soon, everyone is copying him. Meanwhile, Jesse and the band try to catch up on their schoolwork.

The Timmerman brothers, the one hit wonder brother band from a few years earlier, visit the music video set and terrorize Nat with the horrors of puberty. Nat becomes convinced his voice is changing (turns out it was just a cold) and Alex does everything he can to convince Jesse he's old enough to start a relationship.

Alex is depressed because Jesse is dating the Timmerman brothers (yes, all three of them) and the rest of the band is trying to cheer him up. A visit to Alex's favorite place, the skateboard park, finds Alex a new friend in Juanita, a tough, rough and tumble skateboard ace who could take Jesse's place in Alex's heart.

The boys have a sleepover and, because the house is a mess, they hire a maid. The maid Betty and Nat and Alex's dad take a liking to each other. The boys become concerned about their future.

When Nat and Rosalina find out they have to kiss in their new music video, they're both nervous, but for different reasons. Nat is shaky because he's never kissed a girl on the lips. Rosalina is conflicted about her feelings for Nat - after all, she's a teenager and he's only 11. She begs the director to recast and he does, setting up a contest for a lucky girl to be the first girl ever to kiss Nat on the lips. Nat is hurt and his friendship with Rosalina becomes strained, especially when the winner of the contest is a very pretty, sweet girl that everyone, including Nat, likes.

Alex asks Nat to write a song for his new friend Juanita that he can premiere at the upcoming wrap party for the music videos. They both wake up the next morning with the perfect song in their head and secretly compose it without telling the other. Amazingly it turns out that Nat and Alex have written the exact same song! Meanwhile, Dad announces that he and Betty are "pinned" (going steady), much to the boys' dismay.

The Naked Brothers Band and a rival band, the L.A. Surfers find themselves at the center of a heated battle of the bands for a charity event. Even more heated is the battle for Rosalina's heart between Nat and the lead singer of the L.A. Surfers, Bobby Love. Bobby is self assured, older than Nat and a dreamboat. Rosalina falls hard and all of Nat's attempts to win her back result in diaster, even leading Rosalina to threat quitting the Naked Brothers Band. When Nat discovers that Bobby is just using Rosalina to get to the Naked Brothers Band, he has to find a way to tell her without further alienating her.

The concept behind their new video shoot is that there are clones of all the band members that are taking over. Alex takes this idea to heart and becomes terrified that everyone around him is actually an alien clone.
