Friday morning, the study group made plans to go away for the weekend. No one's prepared for class so Kingsfield gives them a large review assignment. They cancel their weekend plans and turn the 2nd floor of the dorm into a "no law" party.

Anderson goes "fishing" for a girl to bring to the party and finds Fitch, a beautiful dentistry student, to go with him. She gets "stolen" from Anderson and leaves with a third year law student, Sam Prey. They're drunk and break into the school dispensary. Anderson, who has followed them, is the fall guy when the campus police show up and he's the only one nearby.

Anderson is required to go before an informal school disciplinary board where he could get kicked out of law school. He asks Hart to defend him at the hearing. Kingsfield and two other professors sit on the board. The responsible parties, Fitch and Prey, refuse to come forward to get Anderson off the hook.

At the 11th hour, Logan, Jeannie, and some of the other woman convince Fitch to come forward to the hearing and Anderson is cleared.
