David insists that Vic take uniformed cops in with them to bust an Armenian gang's drug delivery. After the bust, Julien sees the Team take a portion of the drugs for themselves. But in the end Shane ends up having the drugs and the vehicle they're in stolen from them. While the search for the drugs and the truck goes on, Mackey learns that his son is autistic.
Write a Recap »Best episode since the pilot. This series excels when dealing with the complicated dynamics within the Strike Team and the consequences their actions incur. The plot thickens on both of those fronts in this installment. hide show
From its tension-filled opening, where Vic and company are planting a bug in an Armenian coke ring's hideout just as the bad guys return, this episode never lets up. The tension is relentless, as the Strike Team members set up a bust, skim part of the coke for their own profit, and are witnessed doing so by Julien, who has a crisis of conscience, eventually reporting them to Aceveda.
Think that's bad? It gets worse. Shane, screwup that he is, promptly loses the drugs when the police-issue SUV he hid them in is stolen while he is making a late night booty call. The rest of the episode comes down to a desperate race between the Strike Team, who is trying to recover the vehicle and the coke, and Aceveda, who is right on their heels.
Crackling action, with a poignant interlude where Vic reacts to his son being diagnosed with autism.
This is the first episode since the pilot where I thought the show really got back into the conspiracy and dirty play that made it so fun to watch in the first episode of the series. Vic and his team willingly and easily commit a crime on the job, knowing that the men who they cpatured would never talk and give them up in the long run. I thought that the sidestory of the black man and his homosexual interest was a weak story. I dont mind him being gay but he shouldnt have several scenes devoted just to him. I understood him being involved in the Vic situation as he saw them pack the drugs in, but having that as a sidestory was not needed at all. The sidestory with Matthew was also pretty boring and took away from the main drama of the episode which was trying to recover the stolen drugs - which they did.
Vic and his team in trouble. hide show
This episode showed a darker side of our 'heroes'. They are people. They need money. They want more, and more. They want to make the streets more peaceful, but they also want to make money. A good starting scene, and wel, what can i say, the whole episode was outstandingly good. Avacade almost had Vic again. The new guy seen things he shouldnt have, and more uh.. 'romantic' scenes with him and his boyfriend. Disturbing, maybe. But definitely catchy as in its REALLY dramatic and raises heart pulse.
This episode, i recommend for everyone to watch. Shield at its very best
Other than the budget problem and the black navigator becomes a blue navigator and so on. This is the first episode where the strike team finally comes together and shows what they are made of. The interplay between Aceveda and Mackey come to the forefront for the first time here. The idea that Vic can have drugs hidden behind him and look David in the face and get away with it show what a true monster he his.
The imagery of this episode is also great. Cocking his gun and then screaming "Nobody steals from us." It was a shame it took four episodes before the show could get into this groove but it is the series best.
Vic and Strike Team try to take down an Armenian mob dealing cocaine and willingfully commit their next illegal crime on the job.

Should be re-titled “The Day Vic and company steal from the Armenian Mafia” what a trip down memory lane.
Vic and company take down a mob of Armenians dealing cocaine all the while committing their next big offense.
This time around it’s Julian, the gay black cop who catches them in the act.
Vic ,Shane and Lem take down an Armenian mob dealing drugs and then pocket a large sum for themselves.
Two big blunders happen: 1) Julian catches them 2)Shane loses the car with the drugs.
The highlight of this episode has to be when the “good old friends” point the finger at Shane and they start arguing like a couple of amateur criminals which they are.
Julian finally comes forward with the info to Aceveda but as is the case with “The Shield” the writers find a way to let the team of the hook with suspicious circumstances.
