Deleted scenes for this episode on the Season 3 DVD include Joanna asking why her husband did it, and Dutch talking to Claudette about rapes and murders. (edit) The original script didn't call for Dutch to kill the cat. A last minute decision was made for him to do so, and the sequence had to be refilmed two days after the episode was finished.
