The Simpsons: It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge

Otto has a girlfriend who he plans to marry and Bart offers the Simpson house as a place to hold the nuptials. Becky, the would be bride, confesses to Marge that she doesn't like heavy metal, which is a problem when Otto hires "Cyanide," a Poison tribute band to play at their wedding. Becky moves in with the family and the "hip-female" influence she brings to the family begins to get on Marge's nerves. Selma and Patty convince Marge that Becky is out to get her; Marge overreacts and strikes first and winds up appearing before a sanity hearing. Declared insane, she goes "on the lam". Add a recap »

When Marge was escaping the police by disguising herself as a band member in a parade, the closed captioning has the lyrics, "They're coming to get me, ha-ha, he-he, and take me away to the funny farm", but the lyrics were never sung (this was probably edited because it was offensive to those with mental problems, and if that's the case, why didn't the censors just ban the episode where Homer is put in the loony bin because he wore a pink shirt and he meets that big, bald guy who speaks like Michael Jackson). edit »

In the 1992 drama �The Hand That Rocks the Cradle,� a woman named Peyton Flanders moves in with the Bartel family to be a nanny. But she is actually planning to kill the mother, Claire, and take her place in the family. Marge fears Becky is planning something similar. Becky also shares her name with the actress who played Peyton in the movie, Rebecca DeMornay. edit »
