this is about millhouse I love him and what bothers me is that he's always the victim of everyone's jokes bad stuff's always happening to him, the teachers treat him like he has no feelings, and lisa always rejects him, even bart takes advantage of him and he's supposed to be millhouse's best friend.

Of course I don't feel bad for him. He's a pathetic dork.

It would be boring if everyone started being super nice to him.

Besides, Bart doesn't treat him bad all the time, just sometimes.

Nah. Milhouse isn't exactly the person I feel bad for. Bart doesn't really like Milhouse that much, he just hangs around him because Milhouse doesn't have any other good friends-And Bart doesn't, if you think about it, you don't ever see Lewis come round his house, do you?

However, I feel sorry for Lisa. Especially in Duffless-It was just unfair. Bart ruined the tomato she grew, never apologised, and when Lisa tried to get her own back, he was one step ahead of her. I also feel sorry for her whenever Bart embarasses her in public, I mean god, leave her alone.

Yeah, but that's what brothers and sisters do. Didn't you ever have any older/younger brothers/sisters growing up?

wrong answer... unless youre trying to say 'who cares about the simpsons?'. i may be a rational who cares little for overly emotional shows. but if you didn't give a damn about them 'cos their cartoons' then why watch em? purely for your amusement no doubt? now personally i don't feel sorry for milhouse but i wouldnt go so far as to say i don't care about them just cos their cartoons and not half civlised carbon based fleshpiles. excuse my wording for homo sapiens...

no I don't feel sorry for him. Besides if bad stuff didn't happen to him he would be a worthless character

Milhouse was the only one of Bart's original friends that had lasting value. Other characters like Martin and Nelson started as his enemies, but that subsided a long ago. Richard and Lewis are not even really characters; they don't appear that much and rarely get any lines of dialogue. What's already said was true--if everyone suddenly started being nice to him, he wouldn't be all that funny. If he got abused, that's one thing; but if they went so far as to have him die, that's a little too much.

I don't pity her, for similar reasons. She doesn't seem to get punished when she probably deserves it; in an episode like "Seperate Vocations", she deserved to be punished for stealing all the Teacher's Books. This seeming 'favor' of her is close to a Mary-Sue archetype, and if you have siblings, it would make sense. In fact, she might deserve abuse more, considering she seems to have taken the 'teacher's pet' role away from Martin.

I don't feel sorry for Lisa all of the time. Most of the time, she really annoys me. But I feel kind of bad for her in selected episodes, Duffless being the biggun. I mean, how would you feel if someone destroyed a valuable possession for a quick few guffaws and then refused to apologise? And what makes it worse is that even though she tried to get her own back, Bart acted as though he had done nothing wrong and still won the contest by stealing Lisa's project and making it into something new. I really hate his large, in-your-face, "I'm the best" grin when he recieves the First Prize rosette; if I was Lisa, I would have gone over there and beat him senseless. Another thing Bart did is put her sax in the fridge to freeze the insides and make it stop working: That was just brutal.

yeah but it was funny... and after all violence and unfairness in cartoons is funny even if it aint in reality. whilst i care more for cartoon characters than human 'characters'... some characters are meant to be dorks or treated badly. its just their nature and that of the cartoon universe which they inhabit.

I take them as what they are satire hence I don't feel sorry for them. They are never depicted graphically in a sorrowful situation so why would someone take satire so serious as to get emotionally involved. There's a big difference between a cartoon character being treated like a jerk and being killed or molested. So no in the context of the Simpson's I don't feel sorry for any of them.

I don't really feel that bad for him. Every elementary school in the world has that one kid who is always the butt of the joke and who everyone else picks on. It's not nice but it's a fact of life.

And if you're thinking that your school didn't have someone like that, it was you.

the episode I feel bad for Lisa is when they go to the beach for the summer and say in the flanders beach house and she makes friends with the locals and Bart gets jealous and ruins it for her, but the end makes up for it, but still that was a mean thing to do.
