From the TV.com Guidelines Center:

Fan fiction(art) and screen captures are technically legal, but may be disallowed at the editor's discretion.

As long as art and/or fiction is posted in this thread, I don't have a problem with it. Duplicate threads will be locked and re-routed to this one.

Here's a cruel Parody of "How to Save a Life" by The Fray...
===================================

Step one you mock the fans who post online
You call us nerds and say we whine
You say we must somehow really "owe you"
When being a writer is a job you're paid to do
You act like you can do no wrong
After being on a dozen seasons too long
It's lack-of rewrites and care is to blame
And we begin to wonder why we came

Where did OFF go wrong, we lost a friend
No satire, no heart, just emptyness
Comic Book Guy's got a message, yeah that's right
The show's telling you "how to get a life."

Homer and stupid slapstick go hand in hand
Appealing to all the test audiences was the plan
Homer got a hammer in one eye,
And at the end, a nail in his thigh
Yeah, the Simpsons Movie was more than that
But was beaten by a cute French Chef Rat
It's lack-of rewrites and care is to blame
And we begin to wonder why we came

Where did OFF go wrong, we lost a friend
No satire, no heart, just emptyness
Comic Book Guy's got a message, yeah that's right
The show's telling you how to get a life.

Let the fans know we know the best
Cause after all we do know best
The Comic Book Guy's our best defense
And all our critics look like him, hence,
We ignore what they say is wrong,
Because those opinions don't belong.
We pray to god they praise us.
We pray to god they praise us.

Where did OFF go wrong, we lost a friend
No satire, no heart, just emptyness
Comic Book Guy's got a message, yeah that's right
The show's telling you how to get a life.

As the "Fans" begin to make a choice
Family Guy is their choice
So we try to steal their Jokes, but always fail
And judging by the ratings, our fans will bail
We'll make Homer even dumber than sponge
Put him in the 90s and he'll invent grunge
Then trash our own established history
For another blah "Marrige Crisis" story

Where did OFF go wrong, we lost a friend
No satire, no heart, just emptyness
Comic Book Guy's got a message, yeah that's right

Simpspin, you're a master of the tease . . . I am waiting eagerly to see the rest of the story!

It looks as if Eric is also good at listening (something he picked up from spending time with Felecia?), and Jessica Lovejoy has issues, though of course, that's old news.

Brilliant. I personally love parodies and this is one of the best that I have ever heard.

If anyone has a few minutes, here's a normal-series based fanscript I'm doing:

It's about 95 percent done.

How do you manage to capture Homer's stupidity so expertly? That is amazing, cuz I can hear Dan Castallaneta delivering those lines!

Combine just enough intelligence of an adult with the perspective of a five year old. Woot!

--------------------------------------

Anway, here's the final parody song for a long-time:

The following is a parody of Green Day's "Basket Case"...

"Simpsons Case"

Would you take the time
To nerd-out on online
About Al Jean, Mike Scully
Or Matt Groening?
We are some of these
Obsessive, compulsive
Geeks, who claim to have found
Springfield--Don't doubt it!

I always give the girls the creeps
Sometimes the Jocks play tricks on me
My rep. is bad enough
I think I've had enough
Am I just paranoid
About a Spinoff?

I got back on the net
To post my disgust
About Jerkass Homer 'Cuz he's now an ass-clown
On another Board
I struck a bad accord
The "Fans!" said stop whining
'Cuz It's bringing them down.

I always give the girls the creeps
Sometimes the Jocks play tricks on me
My rep. is bad enough
I think I've had enough
Am I just paranoid
Uh, yuh, yuh, ya

Grasping the Remote,
I turn the TV on....

I always give the girls the creeps
Sometimes the Jocks play tricks on me
My rep. is bad enough
I think I've had enough
Am I just paranoid
About a Spinoff?

Great excerpt from part 3!!!! Looks like the Maggies haven't figured out how to get along yet!

Any idea when it'll be done, Simpspin?

Unfortunetly, no. I've jumped on a great deal on a new apartment and I'll be back to drawing next week, I hope.
