For me it is definitely Homer vs The Eighteenth Amendment, i just caught a rerun the other night and i laughed as if it were the first time...from beginning to end it was utterly hilarious and of course it had the classic end quote, and they should so bring back Rex Banner now i think about it...

For me it is Last Exit to Springfield OR Krusty Gets Kancelled. They are both in Season 4, and they are both flawless in my opinion.

I say the best episode is........ The Cartridge Family (Season 9) My favorite part is when Homer is sitting there waiting for his gun and everything he could shoot at (Target truck, bunnies, ducks, Patty & Selma, Flanders I also like Krusty gets Kanceled My fave scene is when Bette Midler's cleaning the highway, and she throws a can at someone who has just littered. Guy: I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS MIDLER! (His car explodes) LOL |

If I had to pick one, Lisa's Substitute hands down without a doubt.
That said there are plenty other episodes that desearve mention: I Love Lisa, And Maggie Makes Three, Bart Sells His Soul, Lisa the Vegitarian, and Lisa the Simpson all come pretty close if you ask me. |

For me, it has to be The Curse Of The Flying Hellfish. That episode plain out rocked. Everything about it was just great: it had a very creative plot to it and hilarious jokes. Just brilliant. I'm still amazed how the writers could come up with an episode like this. Another reason I love this episode is because of Grampa. Favorite character in the show, next to Flanders. This is probably the best episode he's been in ever. |

Last exit to Springfield was good, but Krusty Gets Kancelled had its problems. My Fave is definitely Lemon of Troy. |

I don't believe no one's said Homer the Heretic. The bit when he sings "I like short shorts" Is just funny. Also the Flanders throwing Homer onto the matress and him bouncing back into the house is just XD. |

I don't remeber the name of the episode but I like the one with the chili. When homer eats the really really hot chili and has an LSD type of expirence. Also I liked Homer vs. the 18th amendment.

The chili pepper episode is called Mysterious Journey Of Homer Simpson. One of my personal favorites to be honest. Although it is kind of weird in a way.
