Taking heed of the bruises he incurred during The Smothers Brothers Show, and just divorced, Tommy Smothers would turn his energies in a different direction. Less than six months later, he and Mason Williams crafted The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, a CBS comedy-sketch show that reflected the growing counterculture that snapped at the Establishment in the late 1960s. Before they were known for much of anything more than guests on programmes like THE JACK PAAR SHOW,, the young Smothers starred in this forgotten supernatural sit com.
