    The Vampire Diaries
    Season 1
Episode 5: You're Undead to Me
Stefan shares some of his past with Elena. Bonnie discovers she has abilitties she didnt know about. Stefan captures Damon in his basement and drugs him, but Damon hipnotizes Caroline in order to be free and kills Zach. A stranger reveals some of Stefan information to Elena. This episode was rlly cool, interesting and grt. I had liked the previous episodes of the vampire diaries, but this one's the best (that I've seen so far). Elena seems to have finally discovered what Stefan is, and it seems that Damon has killed Vicki (it is revealed later what really happened). Grt ep!

So.. life is getting back to normal without "bad" brother around but he is not so keen not being around and does his best to get back and the means he uses. Quite clever.

But on the other hand, he is not the only one using creative measures to get what he wants. That reporter had his own agenda too, not that I saw that coming. And probably best surprise foes to Elena, who step by step starts to put pieces together. I really think those last episodes, have really got the story developing and I really like the pace they are having. Great episode.

Elna discovers the truth once she begins to put all of the clues together. Damon escapes and begins killing again. Bonnie's powers are growing and she turns to her grandmother for help. Vicki's low self-esteem finally may have got her in trouble. hide show

So we finally have some revelations having to do with the reality of the situation. Why is it with all the powers Stefan knows Damon has, would he ever let his brother be alone as if he was really safely locked away. Zach pays the price in the end.

Does Caroline really realize what she's unleashed yet? Somehow I think she will eventually. As far as the sheriff, Logan, and the other people involved in the conspiracy, what is it they think they are going to be able to do against a Vampire? How did they drive them or think they drove them away in the past? It seems that the boys just decided to leave at one point and would have stayed if they wanted too. Also, they don't know who the Vampire is?

What's with Vicki? I've heard of low self-esteem, but in her case she really has a big problem. It may have been solved for her permanently though. Tyler treated her like she felt, but Jeremy thought more of her than that and in the end that scared her more. This episode really was a cliff hanger so I'll have to see the next to really get a feeling for how things were settled. A pretty solid effort on the whole though. Thanks for reading...

    Yeah.. hide show

Took her long enough. But the scene where she figures out what Stefan is.. wow, talk about deja vú.. but I guess it can be different than a scene where the character goes all zen and gather her thoughts and finally understands the clues.

Damon gets out. We know he would.. but poor Zack.. got bashed like that.. he didn't much in the show but complain about vamps. But I felt sorry for the guy.

And Jeremy.. how sad is he? Chasing around that girl who only wants to get high.. some serious issues going there..

Oh well.. gotta watch the next episode.. the truth is out there.. haha

    Cheers!

Best episode by far.. ****Spoilers**** hide show

Since the pilot the quality of the show has improved every episode significantly. So much happened in this episode I don't know where to start. I was completely shocked that Elena has figured out that Stefan is vampire so early in the series but loved the way she put it all together towards the end. I loved the cliff hanger ending with the confrontation between Elena to Stefan "What are you?" It was epic. I wonder how long it will take for the rest of the cast to find out.

Now that Daman has escaped things will get very interesting I am almost scared for everyone else on the show. It didn't bother me to much that he killed Zach as he wasn't an important asset to the show, but I'm glad he didn't hurt Caroline. I'm sure this will affect Daman and Stefan's relationship big time. I was pleased we finally got to see Vicki and Jeremy together in this episode, although it is a very complicated relationship as Elena is against it and Jeremy no longer likes Vicki getting high. They are definitely by favourite couple of the show. I really hope Vicki does not die or get turned into a vampire. I would really like to see her be Damon's puppet as no one would suspect anything because they would blame it on the drugs. I really love Bonnie's storyline by far this season and I like where it is going. Glad that Stefan was able to stop her from burning the car and I wonder what answers she gets about her psychic abilities from her grandma. Overall great episode 10/10, I was drawn to the edge of my seat throughout and I think this will be one of the most remembered episodes of the series. I can't wait till next week.

  • Stefan: As far as music, it's pretty much across the board, um, Dylan, Hendrix, Patsy, Willie, a little Kanye. You know what? I even like that one Miley song.

    Stefan: Easy... []
  • Vicki: I think you might be in trouble.
    Jeremy: What'd you do?
    Vicki: Elena saw me.
    Jeremy: I'm a drug-using delinquent. A girl in bed doesn't really rank, sorry. []
  • Stefan: During the Dark Ages, when a vampire's actions threatened to expose or bring harm upon the entire race, he would face judgment. They sought to reeducate them rather than to punish them.
Damon: You know what will happen if I don't feed on blood.
Stefan: You'll grow weaker and weaker, and eventually you won't be able to move or speak. In a week, your skin will desiccate, and you'll mummify. A living corpse, unable to hurt anyone...ever.
Damon: So what, you just going to just leave me in the basement...forever?
Stefan: I've injected you with enough vervain to keep you weak. Once your circulation stops, I'll move you to the family crypt, and in a 150 years we can reevaluate. []

The book is set in the early 1920s and comments on the immorality and materialism that came with prosperity in America after World War I.
