Steve Hill and Trampas only appear briefly in this episode and the Virginian is only seen for a split second in the distance assisting in driving a herd of horses. The episode features mainly Judge Garth with some support from Betsy. Semi-regulars Sheriff Abbott (Ross Elliot) and the doctor (John Bryant; called mainly, but not always, Dr. Spaulding in episodes but no name is given here)
