Sam: How is this not a date?
Mallory: There will be, under no circumstances, any sex for you tonight.
Sam: Well,like most people I'm an absolute nut for Chinese opera and with your guarantee there will be no sex, I don't see how I can refuse. (edit) Josh: We talk about enemies more than we used to. (edit) Bartlet: We should organize a staff field-trip to Shenandoah. I could even act as the guide. What do you think?
Josh: Good a place as any to dump your body.
Bartlet: What was that?
Josh: Did I say that out loud? (edit) Leo (annoyed at his daughter): I had an opportunity to give you up for adoption. (edit) Bartlet: I find these [Cabinet] meetings to be a fairly mind-numbing experience, but Leo assures me they are Constitutionally required. (edit)

This was the first of only two episodes to have not been written or co-written by Aaron Sorkin during his tenure as executive producer, the other being season four's "The Long Goodbye." (edit) Bartlett says of Cabinet meetings that he finds them to be a waste of time, but that Leo "assures him that they are constitutionally required." In actual fact, the US Cabinet has no constitutional or legal basis, and is convened at the President's discretion (edit) This episode was a 2001 WGA Award Nominee for Outstanding Achievement in Television Writing for Episodic Drama.
