Forums: The X-Files: What's your favorite teaser sequence?
- One of the things The X-Files did better than everybody is present great teaser openings for each episode. Most of these were sooo creative, and they sucked you in..and made you go " Wow. I can't wait to see this episode." While most of us seem to be on this 100 day challenge of watching the episodes over, I thought this would be a great thread to throw at yall, while the episodes are fresh in your mind. So, I'd like to know...what episode has your favorite opening teaser sequence? Mine is "Kill Switch". All those different criminals, and then the marshalls getting calls to come to 13th and Arlington, all to spark a massive shootout to kill this one guy! The way they did it was so suspenseful! You had no idea what was going on, but you saw what was coming!...Massive bloodbath! Brilliant. So what about you guys? You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
- of course, mulder's "oh sh--" in bad blood was friggin' hilarious!! my brother was like "wth was that?!" but i'd say it's never again. that very intriguing sequence got my dvd (almost) killed cuz of my pause-rewind cycle. it took me 10minutes to realize that scully is, indeed, in mulder's appartment. geeeez, im so slow..You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
The shipper in me loves the Trust No. 1 teaser.
Monday and Bad Blood are also favorites of mine. The teaser to Demons was pretty cool with the bright, grainy feel of Mulder's flashback/dream/drug trip and then to have him wake up with blood all over him. That was a "Whoa!" moment at least for me.
Dreamland II is funny because we get to see what a dork Mulder was as a child. He dressed like Spock!

I have to re-watch it again. Tithonis was cool, X-Cops..Momento Mori ... that's more of a whole episode thing for me. Monday grabbed your attention..anything that begins with Mulder and Scully blown up has gotta do that.

And then Margret arriving, fighting through the police, and then seeing the blood. "Where is she?!", and Mulder unable to answer. Very poweful! You must be registered and logged in to post a message.

bad blood has to have the best beginning + the weirdest thing happened the first time i watched it...

Yeah, I loved the teaser for Paper Hearts--it was très cool. And for me, the beginning of all things is epic, both for the obviously huge revelation and for Scully's narrative (which I adore beyond reason).
I remember going back to the beginning of TrustNo1 and going through it very very slowly to pinpoint which episodes the photographs et cetera had come from. You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
