During the episode, the FDNY showed up because of the fire alarms being pulled. Which in reality they would have been immediately dispatched to the scence of the shooting from the very beginning.

Music: Disturbed did "Voices".

Sully: I don’t know that I understand the theory part of it, but I get the chaos. (edit) {Emily is wearing a very short shirt}
Yokas: What happened, Em? Your shirt shrink?
Emily: This is how everybody dresses.
Yokas: Really? Well, maybe if you were like some 30-year-old divorcee desperate for a husband, maybe, maybe, I’d let you dress like that.
Emily: I can wear what I want.
Yokas: Since when? What, did I die and suddenly this became a democracy? (edit) {about why kids kill other kids}
Lombardo: The media plays some role, Doc.
Doc: So do hormones. What are we gonna do, lock up all teenage boys?
Walsh: That’s not such a bad idea. (edit) Yokas: It’s not supposed to be like this. This isn’t the world we want. This isn’t the world I want. It’s not supposed to be like this. (edit) {to Jimmy about Bobby}
Kim: He shot Bobby, and I, um, I thought he was gonna kill me too. I just can’t get it out of my head, you know? I miss him, Jimmy. I miss him everyday, so much. (edit)

This is the last episode Before 911. It opens with Sully waxing poetic. I quote verbatim:
It’s the Mysteries that elude us that excite us.
Some how we just can’t ever figure life out.
I guess that’s why it’s still worth living.
Surprise party full of twist and turns.
We don’t ever see coming.
That we never really understand.
Maybe can’t understand.
Like Two guys, both of them heading for the same plane.
One gets there a little early.
The other guy gets caught behind an accident on the Van Wicken.
Ends up missing the flight, the next plane is not for three hours.
Bad luck right?
Except The Plane blows up and crashes into the Atlantic Ocean, no survivors.
What’s that all about?
I saw the guy who missed the plane interviewed on NY One.
He didn’t know either. Just sort of stared off into space.
Nothing was different for him, but then again everything was different for him.
(edit) Episode opens with school shooter stealing the gun from his home and heading to school entering with the rest of the students before the start of school. On this journey he passes many of the Third Watch characters driving: the EMT bus, cop cars and so forth while great for drama there is a major timing issue with this plot line. Third Watch shifts start at 3 p.m. School starts at 9 a.m. (edit)
