The carpet is torn up on the first floor to find one room in need of new floors, and two rooms are found to have long leaf pine floors in great condition. The old cast iron boiler is removed from the basement.

Kevin O'Connor and master carpenter Norm Abram discover that the house also needs a new roof and furnance.
