This was the last episode of Threshold to air on CBS. The series was canceled by the network due to low ratings. The remaining four episodes were repurposed and aired on the Sci-Fi Channel.

In the scene where Caffrey and Cavennaugh go to arrest the infectee who killed her husband, she mistakenly calls Cavennaugh "Calloway" when asking him to enter the bedroom.

When Fenway injects the pregnant woman, he says he is using naloxone to sedate her. Naloxone is not a sedative. It is a drug used to reverse the effects of other sedatives such as morphine.

Fenway (Brent Spiner) uses the alias Dr. Martin Wrigley. Both "Fenway" and "Wrigley" are professional baseball stadiums. Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox and Wrigley Field is home to the Chicago Cubs. Moreover, Brent Spiner is a Cubs fan and Fenway has indicated a love of baseball in previous episodes.
