When one of Eddie’s idols comes for a visit who is single, Eddie is in awe, but Joy is not impressed by Webby’s (guest star Ted McGinley) wild adventures and exotic travels lifestyle. To Joy, a committed relationship is what Webby is running away from and that is the one thing that can make him happy.

Jeff's comment to Steph of "Good one there Sargent Pepper" refers to the Beatles 8th album, Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, that showed the Beatles in brightly colored uniforms.

As Joy and Eddie stand in the kitchen by the toaster we see that the toaster is plugged in, if we recall to the Toaster episode they are trying to save energy by leaving it unplugged.
