The Tiny Toons do an MTV-style episode with their own laugh-filled videos. They even have Julie Brown doing a cartoon version of her show as she waits for Buster, Babs and Madonna (Uh, That's Fuddonna).
Istanbul, not Constantinople: (Performed by They Might Be Giants) In this video, a king's green duck statue gets stolen by thieves and he hires Plucky and Hamton to help get it back. The king's reward: his shrouded daughter. This sets Plucky off to find the thieves and the statue. When they do get it back, the king offers his daughter, who just happen to be ELMYRA! She knocks the Statue out of Plucky's hands and it breaks. Now the king has a new duck statue- Plucky!
Particle Man: (Performed by They Might be Giants) This video has Plucky portraying the title wrestler and has him facing the painful wrath of three wrestlers: Triangle Man, Universe Man, and Person Man.
Respect: (Performed by Aretha Franklin) The Queen of Soul herself would be proud of this great rendition of her song by Babs as he goes around the library, a courtroom and a pet cemetery.
Money (That's What I Want): (Performed by Barrett Strong) This great Motown Song definitely fits Montana Max to a T as he sings about his money and how bad he wants more of it!
Top Secret Apprentice: Buster messes around with Bug's cartoon scenery machine and gets himself into a big heap of trouble.

My guess 7. Download it and see. edit » - One wonders just how much this one episode cost. In addition to the appearance of Julie Brown(who was once a popular person if you can believe it), it also played several copyrighted songs in their entirety. Granted, most of them were old, but the two songs by They Might Be Giants were made just a few years ago. Presumably, some deal must have been struck to get the songs on--their record label WAS Warner Bros, after all.
Great episode anyway, although not nearly as good as its sequel, Toon TV. I wish more cartoon shows would try these kinds of creative ideas. edit »
- Buster: (nobody calls in to the music request hotline) Brrrring, brrrring, (picks up the receiver and talks through the corner of his mouth) Uh, I'd like to hear "Respect". (talking normal) Yes sir, coming up sir. And now folks, here's "Respect"...why can't I get any? edit »
- Buster: Oh man that was so great, let's here another by They Might Be Giants, this one called "Particle Man"...who are these guys? edit »
