Episode Summary

Vash wakes up after a deep slumber following the events from the previous episode. As Milly takes on local jobs to support everyone, Meryl attends to Vash's recovery, and takes on a job or two herself. But one day the town folk are upset when they learn that the recovering guy is Vash the Stampede, and attempt to lynch him for all the recent death and destruction to their families and neighboring towns.

“Live Through” sees Vash trying to recover from last episodes events in a quiet town. Not everything goes to plan, and the town find out that he is Vash the stampede. They turn on him and it is up to Millie and Meryl to stop them. Not much happens in this episode, but you could say it is the calm before the storm, which is the next episode. Overall its an ok episode, we find out a bit about Millie’s hometown and we see the Meryl like Vash. We also see Vash see Meryl as Rem. 8 out of 10

  • Kuroneko sighting
Standing on the porch. This time Kuroneko actually claws at Vash's face. []
  • The bandages on Vash's face appear and disappear frequently throughout the entire episode. []
  • In the English translation, Rem says "Take care of Knives." The Japanese line is "knives wo…", but due to the word order in Japanese, the verb is missing so it is not clear what she asked Vash to do. The English translation works well enough, since it is fairly ambiguous (it could mean kill him, stop him, or care for him). []

  • This is the first episode Vash has interacted with Kuroneko-sama. []
  • (Milly hands Vash the Cross Punisher from Wolfwood.)
Vash: Wow. This is pretty heavy.
Milly: Yeah, it is. Of course, it's heavy. That's because it's full of mercy. []
