In several different Reality show boards, a group of us have been playing our own version of the shows.

Like Survivor, we have immunity challenges and then we do votes. its' very similar to the show.

Are we going againt the rules of the site by playing those games? or are they allowed, because they have to do with the show?

From what I've heard, game threads are not really allowed even if they have to do with the show. Hopefully, a moderator will see this soon and give you a definitive answer, though.

I would think seeing as I have been in a number of games like that here.

I could be wrong but I think if it is on the Show Forum it is "kinda" up to the editor of the show. Some editors allow it and other don't. So checking with the editor could be a good idea.

I've heard that same thing Stu. I've also heard that they are not allowed. I'm no longer sure which it is.

If the editor allows it that is fine.

Within reason, of course. Keep in mind that to some degree the first page of a forum is a commodity, and most folks want their post there.

Ten different games would definitely be overkill...

    Thanks for the extra clarification!

It just depends on the editor. Sending them a PM would not hurt!

NO, it's not anywhere near 10 games. IT's usually just one at a time for the type of games I'm talking about.

I'm not talking about the character elimination type things, where it's people from the show. (personally I think those need to be stopped)

This type of game, various Regulars from the boards are playing the game. We take part in challenges, and send votes to the host of the game. ITs' quite fun, if you're a fan of any of those shows, you should try it sometime.

We've had 3 "seasons" of Survivor already. Basically It's just 1 thread for the whole game, till we get near the end, then we sometimes have 2 threads going, but that's usually the most.

I think if you look at the Survivor, Apprentice, BB, or Amazing race boards during the run of those shows, we're very active in discussing the shows, we just like to play the game along side of our discussions.

    Thanks for clearing it up.

It should be noted that if an editor feels a game is on-topic, that does not entitle anyone to use other forums for such games.
