Election Day has finally arrived, and TV.com users have selected their next president! In this rollercoaster of a race, we saw strong showings from candidates like David Letterman, Tina Fey, and Spongebob Squarepants--but underdog John Locke of Lost came from behind to run away with the win. However you feel about the outcome of the real election, we hope you're happy with the inauguration of John Locke!

Why not Ellen DeGeneres? I mean now we have the first black president.... why not the first gay president for tv.com?

16 candidates and 58% of the vote goes to ONE person? Everyone who knows the slightest little thing about mathematics and statistical probabilities is laughing their heads off right now. Someone really went out of their way to vote excessively for Terry O'Quinn.

ahh, now it is time to put aside all of our differences, and come together as one tv viewing nation. You may not of voted for Locke, but he is still YOUR tv president, and he will earn your votes with amazing feets, such as learning about Jacob, finding his way, his fate and returning from the dead.

President Locke's first act as TV President is to cancel shows such as: Spongebob, Late Show with David Letterman, Family Guy, Smallville and SNL. Locke for God!

"How did this happen!!!!!!!!!!" It happened because LOST fans caught wind of this poll on different blogs, and they are the most rabid fans in the world!! LOST fans came out in droves to click aimlessly in this poll, me included (while I was bored at work, haha) and we accomplished our goal. No "cheating" or "script writing"... just fan dedication. People who aren't savage LOST fans probably won't get it... watch the show and you will!!
