Zane: I'm a man of my word. Didn't plan on speaking of this to others anyways. This is getting too weird.
Grey looked at Alex.
"Did you say Alex?" Grey remembered the name from earlier. Alex nods "It's nice to meet you....all, it's nice to meet you all. Scar, a word?" Grey and Scar walk off away from the group.
"Alex, yeah i need to separate him from everyone else"
"Trust me" Scar nods "Just follow me okay?"
"Okay" They rejoin the group.
"Let's get out of the sewer and somewhere more open" Grey suggests.
Alex looks down
Ray: I've always wanted to ask this. What's with those bandages on your eyes?
Liza: Ray, that's rude.
Alex: ....I don't mind. I lost my eyes in an....accident.
In a dark room, Pride is on his throne when Sloth walks in. He tosses Pride a Philosopher's Stone.
Pride: You did well.
Sloth: ....I'm going to take a nap.
He walks off.
Pride: You still lack the bloodlust.
Pride walks into a dark room. He puts the stone down and bows.
Pride turns and walks out. As he does, a large claw grabs the stone and pulls it into the darkness. Pride turns a little and leaves the room.
Alex: Alright, we'd better get out of here. No telling what kind of foul thing lives down here.
He claps his hands and touches the wall as it begins to crumble.
Liza: It's true. No transmutation circle.
Ray: So the rumors....are true?
- "Wait, why do we have to run?" Grey asks
"I think he's trying to help us escape" Scar pointed out
"Fine, there's a small hotel, just east of the city. We'll be there if you need us"
Alex: Look, what you did is your business. But this situation seems like it's trouble.
Ray: You're wierd.
Liza: Fine, we'll go distract the rest of the soldiers. You go ahead.
Alex: How will you distrct them?
Ray: We have our ways.
- Grey and Scar exit through the open path, running until they find a ladder, leading out of the sewer. Grey pushes the lid and slides it over. He peeks out and sees he's not to far from Central so he helps Scar out, closes it up and runs down an alley and takes cover.
"Do you trust them?" Scar asked
"I don't know yet" Grey said, out of breath
Most of the soldiers are trying to stop a fight. Liza and Ray appear to be fighitng
Liza: Take it back!
Ray: No way!
Soldier: Please, calm down!
Soldier 2: There's no need for such violence!
Liza flips Ray onto his stomach and twists his arm as the soldier scramble to stop her.
Axel: They're...convincing if nothing else.
Alex: You check the library. I'll do sniffing around, see if anyone knows something and isn't sharing.
He turns and makes sure Scar and Grey are hidden. He gives the kids the signal and they stop fighting.
Soldier: You really need to stop fighting.
Liza: Yeah, yeah.
Ray: Ow...did you have to make it so convincing. It felt like my arm was going to come off.
Liza: Pfft. If I wanted your arm to come off, it would be wiggling on the ground right now.
Ray: Ha ha. Nice joke.
She walks off.
Ray: ...That....was a joke right?
Zane walks off to the library and pulls out some books and starts reading.
Zane: (So that thing wasn't human. There must be something about that. Maybe in the history books?)
Meanwhile, Wrath yawns as she takes another shot at a bird 500 yards away.
Wrath: Guess I'll go back now. Envy hasn't done anything out of the ordinary yet. And I've accomplished that other thing Pride asked me to do.
She gets up and vanishes.
Alex is walking around town when he catches a report.
Man: In other news, a group of 10 teenagers seem to have caught the sleeping sickness.
Alex: That illness.....right.
Man: No one knows what this illness is, as it affects people of all ages, but it puts them in a deep sleep from which they never awaken. Doctors are doing all they can, but it appears there is no hope.
Alex: Wait....that's the town I just left! Those are the Black Mambas!
Zane: Hm, looks like there was some kind of problem a 100 years ago or so. But this book doesn't go that much into detail. But not much else on the topic. I'll take this book and head off to my mission.
Zane picks up a few books and heads off toward the train area.
Meanwhile, Wrath returns back to meet up with Pride.
Wrath: Anything else?
Pride: Our supply of Philosopher's Stones is running dry. Please, go out and get us some more. Father is getting anxious.
He turns and then back.
Pride: If you can, get Sloth out of his room too. He's been acting like a corpse ever since he came back.
