Last season's 2-part finale of Life (Dig A Hole, Fill It Up) was one of THE BEST I've seen on TV in quite a while - and critics agreed. In fact, they went from panning to praising the show, which is a rare occurance in TV land. I think Damian Lewis' Det. Charlie Crews will be remembered as one of TV's great characters. Besides, the show is so much more original and intelligent than the schmaltz that's been on the tube, lately. I can't wait for it to return...just wish we didn't have to wait until Oct. 3rd!
I'm also a big fan of 30 Rock & Chuck. It will be great to see them again, too!
And...I have to admit...I will miss watching Alex O'Loughlin do his thang, on Moonlight. That CBS cancelled the show, after it had been voted "Favorite New Drama" at the People's Choice Awards, was just plain wrong. Yes, it was cheesy & campy...I mean, it was about a vampire detective for Pete's sake! What else could it be? But, it was also mindlessly enjoyable escapism...and camp...at its best. You're supposed to laugh at the campiness & just have fun with it. Besides, most women wouldn't mind watching Alex O'Loughlin brew tea for an hour! So, why they took it off the air so quickly, I just don't get. If "the people" voted for Moonlight as their favorite show, CBS should have honored that by allowing the show at least one more season.

Well, that time of the year again! I can't say that I am keen on any of the new shows they are dragging out and I am more than gutted that the bionic woman is on its way out... that show was so much better than people gave it credit!

But it is not all doom and gloom they did have the good sense to renew arguably some of the best shows on TV. Heroes , Life, Knight Rider, Chuck, 30 Rock and My Name is Earl are easily some of the highlights for the new seaoson. Although I hope Heroes improves after the end to last season (Stupid strike!)

Relieved to see ER back - I don't know why everyone hates it so much now, it still has a lot of good stuff in it, and could go on for a lot longer - see for example Law and Order - still going strong with few changes in its format - ER deserves to continue.

all id like to say is, goodbye to all the reality tv shows. enough already. bad enough that everyone deals with their own realities everyday. during the writers strike, there was a bombardment of these RTV's, and just maybe people kinda figured that it was time for some of these shows that it was time for them to go.
heres my pick of the top 3 that should go
1.American Idol
2.Big Brother
3.Survivor
i really dont need to see people make fools of themselves to show that they really dont have any talent....who lies to these people

30 Rock, Chuck, Friday Night Lights, Heroes, Knight Rider, and Life are all good shows. ER and Medium are quite possibly the worst shows on television, and any self-respecting being with intelligent thought would would rather be prematurely euthanized than watch these programs. Deal or No Deal is the quintessential stereotypical crap game show. However it utilizes all the potential aspects of a game show to be successful. There is the overt attempt to invest you emotionally into these peoples lives. The involvement of the crowd, the collective hatred of the banker, and of course the 26 semi-naked models holding the briefcases. My last point is probably why this show is so successful. However considering all of those arguements this show is still monumentally atrocious. SVU is commercializing sexual assault to a point where their topics have absolutely no relevance any more. Finally the Office is the best show here simply because it holds up a mirror and the reflection is our lives. In closing for all the satirists out there I realize I have too much free time on my hands. I sit in something resembling a box all day looking at a screen and would rather rate television shows than work.

Getting rid of Deal or No Deal wouldn't have been that big of a loss. No surprise that Heroes or Chuck were renewed. The 33% who don't like The Office surprises me... maybe it reminds people too much of their own lives?
