First, you should get a free account at an image hosting site, such as Photobucket (the one most TV.com members use), then you can use it to host your pics for use here. That is the best way as I find that trying to upload banners/images directly is a bit on the flaky side and sometime doesn't work. You're better off using a hosting site.

You can use any image-handling program to make up a nice banner for your profile keeping in mind of the maximum sizes.

    Profile banner: Width 760 picas X Height 140 picas. Max size= 48k

    Personal Image: W84 X H84 Max size =19k

    Avatar (site icon): W80 X H80 Max size = 19k

    Banner Blog: W432 X H155 Max size = 50k

    1. Upload your finished banner, image or icon to your image host.
    2. Using the URL provided by the image host, insert it into the

...appropriate space in your tv.com preferance page
    3. When finished push the save button on the bottom.
Be sure to save or your choices or changes will not take!

Here are some screen snaps of the procedures:

    First open your prefs page

Then start inputting the required URL's

Continue down the page and don't forget to save

To put up a blog header

You must REFRESH your profile page in order to see your changes.

Have fun with it and don't feel you have to slap a banner up and never change it. You can make festive holiday banners or banners honouring your favourite show or star! Anything is possible!

Of course nothing pornographic, obscene or that may violate the TV.com
    Terms Of Service (TOS).

You see when you go to your profile and there is a black rectangle with your name on it above the blog area? That's the banner. You can insert your own image there.

    Hi Loganace,

No, there is no way to change a show banner. Staff are the only people with the ability to make changes to banners/pictures against show pages due to copyright laws.

Staff are limited in what they can do due to time constraints and the copyright rules mentioned previously. You can, by all means, PM a staff member and ask them...but it is unlikely that they will be able to make a change.

There is no limit for sig. Only limit is 200 characters. But it doesn`t do any good for you to put a giant picture in your sig. Because people shouldn`t have to be scrolling down to see your whole sign. Even when you put a picture, it has characters in numbers (like http://photobucket....) and when you put so many picture it fills your character limit.

The signature must not exceed 550 pixels wide x 200 pixels tall. This includes text and a picture.....so, for example, you can't have an image which is 550x200 plus 200 characters worth of text.

Actually you can have picture bigger than 550x200 but when you do that there`s gonna be a page with scrollers in it. and it looks very ugly. But as you said 550x200 is the optimal size.
