The Bottom Line: "Perfect"

AWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! That's exactly what I thought when I saw this episode. Cody is such a romantic. He really wants things to work out with him and Bailey. I think they'd be cute together. I just love the whole idea of this episode. It's so creative on the writer's part. Not that the idea is totally original, but because of how the thought was presented. I mean, lol, London..... The teacher was all "London can you tell me what the international date line is?" and cody screams out "nooooooooo" because he went back in time again and the teacher agrees with him saying London probably didn't know the answer. funny stuff. lol. i loved this episode. I thought I wasn't going to like Suite Life on Deck as much as the original show without Ashley Tisdale, but truth be told, I like Debby Ryan a LOT better. She just seems like a down to earth girl, and she's a very good actress. Nice work new girl, and great episode.

The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Yusei continues his new life in jail and duels with yanagi's rare treasure deck to show that its not worthless. tanner has thje upperhand dueing the dule but yusei is able toi win using triangle-o to refelect the damge he would take to tanner. it know seems like tanner will be yusei's friend. meanhwile jack is taken by goodwin to learn the secrets of the crinsom dragon. this episode is very revealing becuase we learn about yliaster, the crisnom dragon, the nasca lines and the demons that are trapped beneath the earth because of the dragon. we learn about the signers and that jack and yusei are two of them.

The First Thanksgiving--YUCK!

Hey crew! When we are all sitting down to our Thanksgiving dinners Thursday one thing to be thankful for is that we're NOT eating what the Pilgrims and the Peqout tribe actually ate in 1621.

Lets start out with the usual first course appetizers. Where's the olive & celery plate? Sorry, there is no record of olives or celery in any English recipe until 200 years later and of course the Peqout Natives never heard of them either. Likewise, Europeans of the day weren't big on salads or "salats" as they called them, they thought tomatoes were poisonous. Lets skip ahead a bit to my fave: the desserts. Well the Pilgrims had run out of sugar and butter long before this so they couldn't make pie crust. All the apple trees were back in England. So no apple cider either, they all drank beer; even the kids. The absence of sugar also rules out cranberry sauce although they did have dried cranberries. The Natives had pumpkins, but they boiled or roasted them in their recipes. So no apple, pumpkin or custard pies. And the Pilgrims didn't bring any cows from Europe either so forget about ice cream (which they probably never heard of anyway) or whipped cream (which they definitly did know about ). No nuts like we eat, they had acorns they gathered in the woods along with mushrooms instead. So we can forget about dessert . Likewise they didn't have any of the side dishes we are familiar with: there was no corn on the cob because that variety of corn didn't grow in North America and the kind that makes popcorn didn't either. They grew in Mexico. The kind of "Indian Corn" growing in Massachussetts was only about an inch long and the Natives made it into a mush-- kinda like oatmeal. Likewise no succotash which is corn & green beans. Speaking of beans-- I don't know if you guys have baked beans at your house but my dad has his "secret" recipe. Well, they had no molasses left and they didn't bring any hogs from Europe [what the heck DID they bring ] for salt pork or bacon. So no baked beans but they did have boiled beans. No baked or mashed potatoes either-- they thought potatoes were poisonous too and they had no cows for milk or butter remember^^ ? They never heard of sweet potatoes or yams. And no stuffing either. So what about the main course? I know, I know-- I'm GETTING there guys! Well, there were turkeys running around the woods of New England at the time BUT-- nobody who left a diary account of the feast mentions them. If they did have turkey then someone would have mentioned it! Ya think? The Pilgrims weren't very good hunters or farmers anyway, most of them had been shopkeepers back in Europe. But there were some sailors among them so they DID know how to fish. So they had cod, clams and eels.

Well, the 50 Natives who showed up for the feast took one look at this mess-- eels, acorns, cornmeal mush and boiled beans-- and promptly went out into the woods to go hunting They came back with 5 dead deer which made up the main course. Good thing I wasn't there cause you all know I hate venison . The party lasted for 3 days with activities like wrestling, footraces and games, and of course everyone getting drunk (all that beer, remember^^^) so even if the menu wasn't all that great they still must have had a good time. So while you're stuffing yourself with stuffing remember the original menu 387 years ago and be GIVE THANKS you don't have to eat it . HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!
