So, I left for a 5 day dip net fishing trip down in the Kenai on 7/21 (Mon.) at 1:00 a.m., which explains my absence. After 5 days of sleeping in the sand, I am so glad to be back home. I caught 17 fish and all together our group (14 people) caught 111 fish. I had a lot of fun and the waves got vicious every other day. Waves reached over 6 ft. and they were powerful which made the whole experience so fun. It was like going to a waterpark with one of those wave generating pools.

Now, we had an elderly man with us, Mr. Jenkins, and while we were fishing one of the first tides one of those monster waves came right us. Being already soaked due to 50 mins. of fishing, I just dove in the water and got carried away by the force of the wave above. Mr. Jenkins, however, took the whole thing face first and got knocked off his feet. He lost his glasses and hat, but strangely enough he caught a fish while he was down. And on top of that his glasses were found tangled in someone else's net not too far away. Although he lost his hat, he said that he was lucky and I agree.

We got back home on 7/26 (Sat.) at 3:30 a.m. Man, was I tired. Especially because I had the job of sitting shotgun and keeping the driver occupied and awake for the whole 3 hour trip home. I'm glad to be back and I can see I missed a lot including the finale review and much more. Oh well, it's not the end of the world.
