MY REVIEWS

  • show: The 4400

    episode: One of Us

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Things are getting a little more complex as Tom's alter ego takes over. After Richard successfully makes Isabelle younger, Lily appears. In actuality it's another 4400's ability that's making Lily seem to appear so they can try to influence Richard to reverse the process. This episode left me wondering who these people from the future are working against the 4400? Why wouldn't they want them to succeed in changing the future for the better? Are they the cause of whatever happens? We know Isabelle was originally a plant to help combat the 4400 using her extraordinary nearly infallible abilities. That is till her father, Richard, gave her a shot that supposedly not only rendered her powerless but also made her allergic to the promicin shot, thereby, making it to where she'd never get her powers back. At the close of the episode, however, Tom's alter ego suggests that may all be untrue. Will Isabelle get her powers back? If she does, will she go against Jordan and Kyle? Also, I've begun to wonder whether or not Cassie is actually working with the 4400 or against them. Is she a plant from the "Marked" group? So many questions and only 3 episodes left...I don't know about you but I'm intrigued. Excellent episode.

    episode: The Marked

    The Bottom Line: "Perfect"

A great mix of X-files and Twilight Zone. Just when I thought the show might start getting a little stale they kick it into overdrive. I was glued to the screen for the whole episode. Like the 4400 didn't have enough to worry about already and this storyline also gives credence to Maia's premonition of how the 4400 would start getting rounded up. It was a great twist on the whole premise of the existence of the 4400 saving the future and now it seems some in the future want to keep things as they are. So it seems the 4400 have a formidable enemy to worry about and will Tom be able to resist when The Marked need him to come into play?? Great epi!!

  • show: Lost

    episode: The Glass Ballerina

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

What a great episode. Who knew Sun had such a dark side? Lying about breaking the ballerina (even though she was only a child), cheating on her husband, defying her husband by offering to sail the boat with Sayid, then not devulging to her husband Sayid's intentions. Wow. I also think we've gotten a glimpse into another reason why Sun decides to leave for America. Jack's still fighting conforming to what the "others" want but how long will he last now that he's been tempted with being sent home? Will he do what they want when the time comes? What exactly does Ben want him to do? Well, two episodes into season 3 of Lost and, imo, it shows the writers still have much more to offer. Excellent Epi!

  • show: Psych

    episode: Who Ya Gonna Call?

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Talk about a great episode. As Gus and Shawn are trying to get more information about a Doctor's murder, a client comes to them thinking he is being "haunted". He says that there is perfume in the air and things are being moved around but it's not him doing it. Gus and Shawn's hilarity starts there and keeps building throughout the episode. A classic example is as they argue back and forth over taking the case by texting each other's phones. Then, even though Shawn thinks the guy is completely nuts, Gus is determined to take the case because of a past "otherworldly" experience as a child. Shawn, wanting to know why he wants to take this case so badly, gets Gus to explain to him what happened. Gus says that there was a woman's voice in the walls speaking to him about an Indian graveyard. As Gus is repeating what she says to him, Shawn finishes his sentence. I don't think I could have laughed so hard when Shawn reveals it was him who had put a walkie-talkie inside the wall and "spoke" to him. What genius. Also, the intersection of the two cases was brilliant. Overall, the this episode was a fine example of why this series has become one of my favorite shows.

  • show: The 4400

episode: The Gospel According to Collier

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Excellent episode. Jordan's back and in the nick of time to stop the wedding. Whew, that was a close one! We learn that Jordan has lost his memory but knows the future needs saving. A visit with Alana gets his memory going again. Richard returns to the 4400 center and first things first, kick Isabelle out of the center. Woohoo. Isabelle shares with her father earlier in the episode that she's even the reason Jordan was shot in the first place. This brings even more evidence that shew was an evil little baby. Jordan does tell her as he is kicking her out that he's ready for her now...wonder what he means by that? Also, I'm still wondering about the vision that Shaun had last week showing him kill Richard and saying that Isabelle opened his eyes....how is that going to play out?? Diana's sister returns with her future husband or so Maia shares with her that she saw in a vision. Even though I'd usually think she would be a rat for stealing her sister's boyfriend it's not like April hasn't already played the part of a rat by using Maia's visions for her own benefit. So go Di;)
