Momix

Hi everyone! Last night I went to the Momix show in Florence, at Boboli's Gardens. It was a really great show. I loved them

I went with my parents and my aunt. We thought that it was going to rain, because there was this big grey cloud, but in the end there was just a little fresh wind...We were lucky Here a picture of Boboli.

After the show we then stopped at Piazzale Michelangelo and we enjoyed the wonderful panorama of the city It's been a really beautiful evening

Valencia

My friends and I booked our holiday! Yeah! To be honest I thought that we would organize something at last minute, as usual. I didn't know why, but for holidays we always had trubles because it's really rare that everyone agrees on the program. Last year we went around Europe by train, we were just three girls (parents in total panic ) even if in the beginning we were like seven, and we organized it a week before the departure So this year I was surprised, in a good way We are going to Valencia, Spain, in September. There was this special flight offert and we bought the tickets for just 38 euros We were three, Vanessa, Giorgia and I, but this morning also Martina said that she is coming and maybe we can convince another person or two to come And I realized why in the past there were so many problems about booking an holiday. In fact I think that just two persons are necessary, two persons that decided where to go, when and how. Others can then be lazy and say yes or no, so that they have to organize nothing. Because organize a trip means waste time and people don't like it. It's not fair, but if you wanna go somewhere and be sure of it it's the only way. So Vanessa told me (because she knows that I act without too many thoughts) that there was this offer, and she said "I wanna go, what do you think?". Of course I said "why not?" and the same day we booked. Last saturday it was just her and me, and now we are already four! I think it will be fun! I knew basically nothing about Valencia, I dind't even know where exactly it is in Spain, but I looked for infos and it seems nice! So, yeah, good decision. More over I looked for another trip we could do while we are there: a day trip to Madrid by train. It would be great, because the train trip is really short, just three hours (I didn't imagine that ), and it's not even too expensive. Could be great spend a day in Madrid. I will talk to my friends and decide, even if I think that one of them would say no because she may spend too much. But, what the hell, we go to Spain and we have the opportunity to spend a day in the capital city, 20 more euros is not impossible! But this is my way to think, so I'm not sure they say yes. I will try anyway!

I am so bored and lazy in these days that I didn't start studying again. I will this afternoon (I hope ). It's just that I'm not able to concentrate... I'm tired I guess. And more over I have a really bad headache almost every day from February by now. So in the past weeks I went to doctors and yesterday I had a CAT. They told me that I have a type of cephalea and I now have to go to a neurologist

Anyway, have a great week!

Ciao

28.25 over 30

Physics exam is done! The result was really good and I'm happy of it I could have taken a little better mark, but I got confused at some point about a cartesian curve, so...I'm happy anyway So now my average marks is very good: 28.25/30 I didn't call my friends yet, but I think that I'm going to celebrate tonight

Florence is terribly hot. I drunk like an elephant this morning! Conditioner air is not common, not even in public places, so we are all melting here! But I'm going back home later and I think I will sit outside and enjoy the wind. Anyway a good thing happened here in Florence: they open a gelateria (ice cream shop I don't know how to call it in english) right behind the corner, and the ice cream they make is excellent Yeah!

I watched the first episode of Damages last night and I really liked it! I think it's a good show I was tagged agai. The same "write 10 things about you"...I already did it. Should I write 10 more things? Let me know, in case I will

Oh, I almost forgot: Happy Indipendence Day to all the americans here!!! Last year I did my oral test for the high school final exam on the 4th of July! It's definitely my exam day LOL

10 things about me

I was tagged by Tom and so I have to write 10 things about me. Well, let's see...

1-Everybody always told me that I'm a good writer I can't tell about my English (which is pretty much hesitant ) but at Italian I'm really really good. In fact many people told me that I was supposed to become a journalist or something Who knows? Future is unpredictable!

2- I have a weird cat: she likes water

3- My computer is ALWAYS on!

4- I took my driver licence exactly one year after my 18th birthday (in Italy we are allowed to drive at 18 )!

5- I was born the same day Colombo discovered America (12th October) and I'm proud of that

6- I LOVE Japan

7- I used to play basketball, and once a coach told me that I was good enough for a basketball school in Pescara (not so near my home ). I was 14 and I refused. Should I regret it?

8- I was in LA when Italy won the World Championship in 2006: the only italian girl in a pub in the middle of the day screaming bad italian words against the screen. I know...embarassing

9- Once in Egypt (I was eight or something) a man offered my father dromedaries and cattle for taking me as his future bride OF COURSE my dad refused (grazie babbo!)

10- While I was going to high school my clock alarm was set at 6.40. After those sleepy five years I've decided that I will never set the clock alarm at 6.40 again!

Last night at first it didn't seem that it was going to be a good Saturday night, but eventually it turned out a really nice time. I convinced my friend Vanessa to go to the cinema, and we watched Once; we then ate a wonderful pizza and drink beer with four other friends of us, and finally walked around. We ended in a church's steps and we stayed there like one hour, just talking It was a beautiful evening, not even to hot (in these days we're melting here!). We decided for this movie just because we didn't want to go until the multiplex (which is not in the city center). We didn't even know what it was about, but it is a really really nice movie. Simple and nice, a sweet story about an Irish man who meets a girl from Czech Republic in Dublin, and they decide to cut a record.

The soundtrack is just amazing. Beautiful sweet songs played by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, the two actors. I don't get why here in Italy they're so slow about movies. This was made in 2006 and we see it now in the cinemas!!! Misteries of my country...

30 cum laude!

Yes! I got full marks in the computer science exam at university! 30 plus the merit out of 30!!! Yeah!

Now I need to focus on histology, one of the most boring subject I've ever studied! I have the exam next month, and before histology, I have physics...so...long days of studying are waiting for me

I went to the cinema and I watched Made of honor. I really liked it...and him of course

I have to admit that I'm becoming addicted to Bones. I love this show!

To everyone: have a nice week end!

Ciao

From this pilot episode, Six feet under seems to be a really amazing show. The weird family we meet let you think that a lot of funny and great things will happen in the future. Characters are outlined in a very interesting way, and the idea you immediately have about them is that they will disclose secrets and interesting facts about their life. The hilarious thing, that I'm sure will lead to big laughs, is the family company, funeral business. What comes out from it is a sort of dark humour that may confuse you in the fisrt place because you don't still know what the show talks really about. Eventually you will love this darkness!

The fisrt season finale of Bones has reflected all the great expectations I had. What we come to know about Temperance's past and secrets is well written and told. Who watches is curious and excited about the story and its development, and not even a minute of the episode let you down. The fact that in the end we basically know almost nothing about Bones' father (who seems to be still alive, while the mother is dead for unknown reasons because of bad relationships and businness) does not change or alterate the brilliant idea of go into Bones' past life. This choice, in fact, let us know much more things about the main character, things that many of us wanted to know.

I was expecting much more from this first episode of the second season. In fact the previous episode left us with a lot of questions about the past life of Temperance "Bones", and more over a total open case. Second season will answer for sure to these questions and solve the case, but I think that in this fisrt episode it would be better know few more things about Bones' father. For the rest, the show is of course always great and exiciting, and even if the main attention should be focused on the unsolved case, the story is interesting. The real big news of the episode, and the season, is the new "boss" of Temperance's team, a character that I'm sure will become worthy of importance.

I must be honest and say that I was expecting much more from this season finale. It wasn't really bad, but I'm sure that it could have been great, and not just ordinary. In fact, basically, nothing big happened. In the season finale you are supposed to be surprised and excited and even a little sad, or extremely curious about the future episodes, but in this case, everything remained the same, we didn't see a change from what we saw in the first episode. A lot happened from the pilot to this episode, and if I recall all the great previous episodes, I can not be but disappointed from this one. I'm now waiting for an amazing second season premiere.

I really like this show, even if I have watched few episodes, and this one in particular was great in my point of view. It has been hilarious as the other episodes before, but I enjoyed the end of this one. What Ted said about waiting for the punpkin, meaning the love of your life, impressed me, and I realized that he is absolutely right about it. Hope is the last to die! And of course, the episode has been full of laughs (that is why I love this show), and the fact that right next the funny stuff, there is space for such great words about life and love made me enjoy the episode even more.

About Me

Cenina
Hi! I'm Cenina (not my real name) and I'm 19. I live in a little city of Tuscany (in Italy), and I'm studying medicine at Florence University. What do I like? I love basketball (I used to play), pets (I have two dogs and a cat), and going out with my friends whenever I can. And of course I love italian food, the original one, every day on my table! :-)) Even if I have to say that I really like japanese food, which is not common where I live. I've travelled a lot around the world and my secret dream is to visit Fiji island and stand over the date change line. I've got some relatives in California (San Francisco and Santa Cruz), and every two years I visit them. I like USA and I hope to go there after my degree for a medicine specialization.
