Viva Pinata and Halo 3

As I had stated in my previous update, I recently got a job (With a great pay) and now have money to buy games. I went to get Halo 3 because, well, everyone I know who has a 360, has it. I got the normal version but promised my friend I'd trade him my case for his Collector's edition case (He has OCD and his copies of Halo and Halo 2 are normal editon, so they don't match up). Which is cool because I really like the case. I've yet to really play it, had to work Monday and Tuesday. But I'll be on more, if anyone wants to play.

In addition, I also picked up the Special Edition version of Viva Pinata. There's not all too much special about it (Aside from the great case) but how can used beat $17.99-Used? The game is fantastic and incredibly addictive. I really don't know how young children even play this game as it has gotten a little hectic on me.

Got an 80 GB Zune

Since I started working, I decided to spend some money on a new Media Player to replace my broken iPod. The idiots at Customer Support decided that my $60 didn't cover the problem. So I went with the newest Zune. The software isn't bad but at the same time, it's not very good either. My only gripe is that it runs slow otherwise, it's not a whole lot different from itunes. It will automatically add any music I add the my music folder, which I like opposed to dragging and dropping music into the software. Same applies with pictures, videos, et cetera.

The player itself is fantastic. It fells just right in my hand, not too heavy or too light. The back is a textured metal that does not seem like it will sratch as much as the ipod brand. The front it a textured plastic and the screen is made of galss, opposed to plastic like most standard players. The scroll-pad-thing is a nice touch. You flick your thumb over it and it will scroll through lists. You can also turn it off and just use buttons. Overall, fantastic player.

Turned 16 on the 2nd

So, last Friday was my 16th birthday. My parents got me a new HDTV and the Indiana Jones DVD boxset (I never saw them, don't ask why). And I had family over that same day. It was pretty cool, a couple of us sat around the tv in my living room and played rockband. Of course, I got sick at the end of the night and spent all of Saturday in bed. I watched all three Jones movies and my mom picked up Blue Dragon for me with some of my birthday money, which is a pretty good game if your looking for a nice, traditional Japanese RPG on the 360.

Foo Fighters

I saw them live last night at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, they were amazing. Against Me! were the first opening band, they were ok but not that great. Then Serj Tankian came on, he was amazing too, although Phildelphia didn't seem to like him that much, everyone kind of just stood there. He was pretty funny too, he did a Borat impression. Then Foo Fighters came. I can't remember the song they opened with but then they played "The Pretender" and "Times like these" and then Dave Grohl chated with everyone for a while. About half-way through a small, circular stage descended from the ceiling about 30 feet away from my seat. They played a couple acoustic songs with the my grammy moment nominees and an acoutic version of "My Hero" and then chated with us again. Apparently only like 2 of the 7 on the stage could read music. Then Dave did a slow version of "Everlong." About half-way through, he ran back up to the main stage and they finished it and went on to play "All My Life." They went back stage and came out for an encore. They played "Big Me" and then he talked about a rumor going around about the stadium being demolished and played "Best of You." Overall, friggin amazing show. And to top it off, we got like four inches of snow and my parents let me stay home (due to the fact that the roads are icey and there were like 4 accidents on the way to school). Can't wait to see them when they tour again.

New Years Resolutions and The Orange Box.

2007 has come and gone and it was a great year, in general. I had a great entry into high school and managed to pass all of my classes with a nice grade (aside from Spanish II, which I got a 78 in due to the 54 I got on the final). It was also great for video games. Super Mario Galaxy, Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, The Orange Box, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption are just some of the great titles I got my hands on. Of course with a new year, I have some new resolutions. I want to continue to live a healthier life-style, I already kicked soda, sweets, and fatty foods and I've also been exercising a lot more. And another, kind of stupid one is to eventually cut my hair. I want to, its really annoying now but I'm afraid to cut it. And looking back, I stuck with most of my resolutions from 2007. I ended up going to my friend's house for New Years Eve (It was also his birthday). For his birthday, a couple of my friends got him a fat, blow-up doll. And walked around with it. Then at midnight, we were out celebrating for like 10 minutes and my friend ran down the street with no pants on, in 45 degree weather.

I alsopicked upTheOrangeBox with some Christmas money and its one of the best games in my collection.Valve has fit so much content into one littledics. Assome of you know, It comes with Half-Life 2, Episodes 1&2, as well as Portal and Team Fortress2. I've played a little through Half-Life 2and it was so good, I honestly forgot their were four more games on the disc. While I never played it, from what I've seen, they've buffed up Half-Life 2 a bit and it looks pretty nice. Portal is also loads of fun. Its like nothing I've ever seen before. And sadly, I haven't had a chance to play Team Fortress2 yet. Don't let thebad cover art fool you, this game is so worth the $60. Plus, the side of the case is orange and looks so cool inmy stack of games.
