Talk about interesting casting news! It's being reported that a gay male couple will be moving to Wisteria Lane in the upcoming season of "Desperate Housewives."

"We're going to have the first male desperate housewives," openly gay show creator Marc Cherry told Afterelton.com. "They will move into the old Applewhite house, and one of the gay men will just have a fractious, hateful relationship with Teri Hatcher."

Cherry also noted in the interview that he'd only just begun writing the episodes, and the roles of the gay male couple had not been cast yet.

Which got us wondering ... who should play the gay couple? We thought about, and we came up with some pairings of openly gay celebs to play the couple. Take a look and vote!

Nominate Robert Gant!

Hi there! Please go over and nominate Robert! He has done so much
for the LGBT community! It would be great to see him make the list!
Just click on the link at the bottom of this post and add his name in
the box at the bottom of the page.

From the Advocate

For our 40th anniversary issue, The Advocate is honoring 40 gay
heroes...and we need your help.

The list below features 100 of the most notable gay people from the
last four decades-politicians, artists, activists, and more. We're
asking you to help us rank them by voting for the people you feel
have made the most significant impact. You can select up to 40 names.
We will determine rankings based on your votes plus editors' input,
and the top 40 heroes will be featured on the cover of our
anniversary issue.

What do we mean when we say "greatest gay hero" of the past 40 years?
First, the person must be entirely out. Second, it's not enough to be
supremely talented or superbly competent--that person must have done
something significant to improve our LGBT lives.

If we've missed someone you'd like to nominate, go ahead and write
them in under "OTHER." This is not a scientific poll, but a snapshot
that reflects the awareness of our readers and editors at this
pivotal moment in history.

Just a few links and a few questions for now. :)

I'm a bit nervous writing a blog, but here goes. Since I've read a few blogs I know it's OK to post links here.  I have a website for actor Robert Gant called, Focusing on Something Positive: http://www.squidge.org/gantfans/ I also have a QAF, Ben/Michael fansite called Living in the Now, but there is some adult content, so not too sure if I can post the link here? Can someone let me know? I'm thinking not since there might be posters here under the age of 18?

I have a few of my own personal pictures of actor Robert Gant, that I took at a signing I went to with some friends in New Jersey. We had a blast! Am I allowed to post my own photos in my blog? I also have some photos of some other QAF cast members that I took at a premiere party too. If I'm allowed to post my photos, I'll post some of those too. I know I ask a lot of questions, but I'm still feeling my way around here and don't want to do anything wrong.

OK,  that's about if for now ... HMMMM ...  wasn't so bad after all!  LOL

Robert came out in 2002, in The Advocate magazine. Since that time, he has fought and continues to fight for the rights of the gay community. He has participated in numerous benefits, functions, and fund-raisers for such organizations as GLAAD, The Equality Forum, Project Angel Food, Lambda Legal, and the Democratic National Committee.

In 2003, Robert was presented with a special Civil Rights Award at City Hall in New York, and in 2004, along with other members of the Queer as Folk cast, was honored by The National Stonewall Democrats for creating, and presenting, positive and loving gay families in all their variations.

Robert has also spoken at numerous events for The Human Rights Campaign, and in 2006, was presented with the National Equality Award at the 11th Annual Nashville Rights Campaign Equality Dinner.

His champion cause is the gay, elderly community and, to that end, he is an avid supporter of such organizations as SAGE, (Senior Advocacy for GLBT Elders) and GLEH (Gay and Lesbian Elder Housing). He is in the process of developing a website devoted entirely to gay elders, and all matters that affect them.

About Me

Donna48
Hey there. :) Just want to say that I'm not the kind of person to post my photo on the Internet, which is why I posted a photo of my favorite flower. ;) I've been a member here since before it was TV.com but I've never had enough time to really look around. Recently, I've made the time, and have been looking around the various forums and even posting a bit. The forums are great and the members are very friendly. I also want to say that the moderators are wonderful! *waves to danmod* my TV.com hero! OK, since this is the about me section I guess I better get to it! I live in New York and I'm married with two children. I moderate actor Robert Gant's official forum with a good friend of mine and I run a Myspace fan page for him. I'm also the editor for him on this site. He's a great person and if you want to know more about him, you can just check his page on this site. Anyway, it's really great to be here and I'm looking forward to making more friends and more posts!
