The earlier Niles and Daphne centered episodes are absolute gold. This is one of the best ones. As a sort of precursor to season 5's "First Date," we see Niles for the first time attempt to confess to Daphne his true feelings for her. Even though I desperately wanted him to succeed, there was nothing I could do to keep from laughing at the situation or feel the slightest bit sorry for him. I believe that the Niles dopelganger is one of the best concepts the show has ever produced. Absolutely hilarious. I did however feel sorry for him during the final scene. It was actually very sad to see Niles shot down like that, but I suppose it was essential to the overall plot of the show. A perfect blend of strong humor and sorrow.

First of all, I am not a fan of many flashback episodes, but they did this with a new twist and made all the material new. It's nice to know that Frasier hasn't forgetten it's own saga as they basically review the timeline while simultaneously giving us a few more anecdotes that we can inject to the past.

Yes, those wigs are terribly innaccurate (seeing as Roz nor Daphne NEVER had jet black hair) and the years are off, but it gives a general time-frame that reminds you of Frasier's history. Maybe I am unconventional, but this episode is excellent in my mind.

The final installment of the Bar Wars saga, this one is my favorite. Cheers FINALLY gets vengeance on Gary's Old Towne Tavern. Throughout watching reruns of the series I have learned to love Harry the Hat. Yes, he took advantage of many of my favorite characters but he did it with such honor and politeness that you just had to like the man. Just as in the first season "Pick a Con, Any Con," which I may add is another terrific episode, Harry's deviousness is used to actually help Cheers. The guys singing in the nude on stage had me cracking up to no end. This episode is bar none the best of the Bar Wars series and one of the best Cheers has to offer.

"Goodnight, Seattle" is a culmination of not only the series but also ties ends with the events that have transpired over the final season. Although many people speculated the finale to be very poor, like most shows, it was actually quite the opposite. It had all the characteristics of a typical finale (i.e. a birth and a wedding) without being cheesy or over-the-top. In true Frasier fashion, it was done with dignity and grace. It's a nice, tidy ending that isn't vague and a person can imagine in his or her own head what just may happen next. Everyone recieved a proper new chapter in their life and I was actually very pleased how everything ended up.

It was quite special to see Martin remarry a woman he truly loves. The final milestone in the Niles/Daphne saga was set with the birth of their first child, David. Roz got her long-awaited and well-deserved promotion. And of course, Frasier chooses love over money as he decides to follow Charlotte to Chicago instead of taking the lucrative job in San Francisco. It's nice to know that he will start over just as he did 11 years ago. It makes me feel as if we've seen everything that there was to see during his whole time in Seattle. The finale is really a tearjerker at heart and I couldn't help but shed a tear when Frasier was quoting "Ulysess." This is truly one of the best finales ever.

Obviously a Niles-centered episode, it represents a turning point in his character. He is forced to become more middle class during his tenure at the Shangri-La. This episode is a culmination of the inevitable lifestyle Niles must live in without Maris's money. From now on in the storyline, Niles becomes just a little more of an average citizen willing to try new things versus a %100 stuffy socialite. Things he does after this episode he NEVER would have even thought of previously (such as learning basic car repair, how to ride a bike, and even yoga.)

The episode is full of humor demonstrating just how upper class Niles has been up to this point. Who can forget his ridiculous bed time preparation routine? Or how Frank was kind enough to put on pants when showing Frasier and Niles the apartment at the Shangri-La. Tons of laughs in this nearly flawless episode.
