Wilde Engel Avg Score: 6.29 Total Ratings: 10 Total Reviews: 1 |
This show had really a great potential but the advertising was the worst I have ever seen.
Why would they always refer to it as the new ‘Charlie’s Angels”? That’s how it has been know, and thus flamed.
Aside from the show being about three women with a not very talkative boss, that’s about it regarding the similarities between both shows.
First the show is German, not American.
The three women team up in a rather different way: they are not brought together by some mysterious man (Charlie Townsend) but after getting themselves out of trouble alone.
That’s then that they are noticed, and recruited by Herr Grossman who would hire them on a regular basis when officially no one can do anything.
In other words, they work secretly for the government, not for a detective’s agency.
The storylines might look poor but at least the show makes you spend a good time.
This show was packed with a lot of humour and action.
Plus the three actresses had a fantastic chemistry.
Too bad, TPTB decided in season 2 to change them, saying they were too old, because that’s how they lost me as a viewer: for me Wilde Engel will always be Franziska, Christina and Lena!

Barbara Bain Avg Score: 9.16 Total Ratings: 20 Total Reviews: 1 Users who agree: 1 |
Barbara Bain... for me this name will always be associated to class, talent and beauty.
Right from the first time I watched Mission Impossible, her portraying of Cinnamon Carter won me as huge fan.
Her three consecutive Emmy's wins speak for her and honestly, I've never seen anyone who could compete with her.
Of course the shows, the artistic field, changed a lot since she entered it, but any of her appearances is worth watching.
Sadly we rarely see her on screen anymore but her characters have always been carefully chosen, and she appeared only in top quality shows (Diagnosis Murder, Perry Mason, Murder she wrote, Moonlighting or most recently CSI).
Those shows, and anything she appeared in, are really worth watching if you want to get an idea of the extend of her talent.

Melinda McGraw Avg Score: 9.68 Total Ratings: 8 Total Reviews: 1 |
I am a bit disappointed; ok a lot, to see that there are very few mentions of Melinda McGraw on the internet.
She is a very talented, and beautiful, actress who can play anything from drama to comic and yet, there is not much recognition of her talent.
It's pretty harsh considering her filmography, and that she portrayed characters in only top shows (The X-Files, Millenium, The Commish, Seinfeld, Ally McBeal; and more recently The West Wing, Desperate Housewives and Bones), not to mention a couple movie credits where she guest starred with Leslie Nielsen (Wrongfully Accused), Eddie Murphy (Nutty Professor II), and Matt Dillon/Faye Dunaway (Albino Alligator).
For me, she is one of the best five actresses that I will watch no matter what, among the other are Barbara Bain and Diane Neal.

Diane Neal Avg Score: 9.34 Total Ratings: 113 Total Reviews: 6 |
I was hooked on Law & Order SVU when I saw Diane Neal as ADA Casey Novak.
I know there are plenty of Cabot's fans around the web, but the previous ADA wasn't moving me like Casey does.
And Casey couldn't drag and move fans without the fabulous actress portraying her.
ADA Novak is strong, and yet she can show her emotions without us thinking less of her.
There are a couple episodes in which she shows her incredible talent. Just to name a couple:
- 5x05 "Serendipity" : when she interrups Elliot and Olivia's interogation. Her 'by the book?" is amazing.
- 7x22 "Influence" : where she talks about her ex boyfriend, putting first a brave front before talking to Olivia. And right at the very very end, after "But nobody saved him" seems like she hesitates to look up at Olivia, afraid she might judge her?
- 6x16 "Ghost": when Alex says they should continue preparing her testimony and Casey answers that she thinks she's ready. Look at Casey's facial expression, eyes and jaw, how she takes the blow from Alex "are you?".
- 6x20 "Night": the fight scene is great and the one in the hospital is as well, especially when she asks if he raped her.
- 6x19 "Intoxicated" : when Olivia tells Casey about her abusive mother, how Casey comes from 'an other teen story' to deeply moved by Olivia's confession.
Since I saw her on SVU, I've been eager to see her in her previous roles.
In SVU, she portrayed a female rapist in 3x10, Ridicule.
Her character is just too much, you want to strangle her! She's got one hell of an attitude, and it's funny to see her opposite ADA Alex Cabot. Even funnier that she'll replace her two seasons later!
Her 'only' movie credit is in Wes Craven's Dracula (2:Ascension, and 3:Legacy).
She doesn't have much screen time but she does a lot with a rather "thin" character.
As usual with Mrs Neal, the best (but not only) way to witness her great acting talent is watching her eyes.
When she becomes a Vampire in Dracula 2, her eyes turn green, waou it's fabulous.
And what to say about her final scene in Dracula 3, when she begs her friend Luc to save her by killing her? That was really a deeply moving scene.
Her first role was in Ed, 1x15 Loyalties where she plays a singer. Doesn't last longer than a couple seconds but you won't miss the deep voice.
Oh and on a side note, Ms Neal really looks gorgious, and even more with her red hair, blond doesn't really make any sense.

Hex Death Takes the Mother Avg Score: 9.04 Total Ratings: 107 Total Reviews: 8 |
I can't believe they killed Cassie in that episode, it was sooo sad!
We knew it would be hard for Cassie to go through with killing her son but killing her was harsh.
I hate Azazael, don’t tell me he loves Cassie, she got killed because of him.
From the beginning all of this is his fault, and that particular moment of course.
Loved to see Cassie reaching for Thelma as she fell to the ground, oh my…what a short but very intense moment. No words necessary but their eyes speak volumes.
She knows she’s going to die and who is she trying to reach? Thelma, her best friend.
Then Thelma mouthing 'I love you' right before Cassie disappears in ashes was heartbreaking, how she tries to touch her but can’t.
Once more what a demonstration of Jemima Rooper acting talent.
