One day away from The Dark Knight

Now after so long waiting for this movie to come out its finally here in one more day we'll see the timeless dance between Batman's morality and intelegence against the Joker's demonic insanity. I'm sure that all the hype around Heath Ledger's purformance will be fully deserved when this is all said and done and I'm so glad that the Batman franchise is once again in the center of such nation wide excitment.

And its been years in the waiting ever since I saw the first Batman movie over a decade ago I instantly loved both the Batman and the Joker over any other Superhero/Villain that has ever been made since. I can still remember how I felt when I first saw batman taking down the bad guys and then flying away, and the memory of the Joker shattering a TV to complain about batman's media attention (See banner) have always stayed with me. But as great as these characters are solo its onlly when they are together that you can see how truly great they are and how much there is to love about each one of them.

I'm looking foward to seeing The Dark Knight because after over a decade of those classic moments of the first movie in my mind I'm looking forward to having more with what will without a doubt be well worth the wait.

Anda hint to who is on my list a few of the heros will have histories with some of the villains on my past list.

In the beginning of this show most people critisized for being different from past Batman incarnations but to me that's what a show like Batman needs - something different. How long did people want the storys and the cahracters to remain completely the same? Forever? I applaud this show for putting a new spin on a franchise that for years was doing the exact same thing for years. Don't get me wrong what was done before was great but this show is just as good in many places and alot of it is it's originality and use of characters especially in the fourth season.

Like I said before most people didn't seem to like the series at first but with each season that group has been getting smaller as they start to realise that just because it's different doesn't make it bad. I think that a lot of shows could benifit from breaking away from the norm and actually doing something different now and then. Each season of this show has been better than the last and I personaly look forward to the next season and expect it to continue with the ever growing quality that has come from this show.

This is an episode I’ve been waiting for months and I have to say it was well worth the wait. When the Joker’s regular henchmen are captured it sends Joker looking for a replacement and there he finds Harley Quinn. From the moment these two characters meet in this episode from the moment the show ends is perfect and classic. I especially love the song the Joker sings while he and Harley have a nigh on the town: Tying up people blowing up ATMs, and giving squirrels laughing gas everything they do in this episode is funny and really makes you fall in love with this show if you already weren’t

This is one of the best episodes of the series and is certainly at least to me a series classic and adds to the storied relationship between Harley and Joker I’m looking forward to the next season to see what they do next.

Having seen the entire series I can say without a doubt that this to me is the best episode of the entire show. It’s an episode filled with almost every emotion possible and continues to be that way from start to finish without missing a beat. The episode centers on the racer Spirit who Molly and Don believe is responsible for the death of Mya, In this episode we see Molly completely loss her mind out of blind hate for Spirit she tries to kill him several times during the race and is even willing to kill herself in the process. But when her Star-Race crashes we see Spirit land in front of a now unconscious Molly and he shows her what really happened to her mother; her racer started to leak fuel around the engines and that caused the explosion that claimed her life.

I have to say during the entire scene when Spirit is showing Molly what really happened up to the part where he flies off is the most moving thing I’ve ever seen on this show and more moving than anything I’ve seen in a long time. The music playing during the scene was perfect and every time I watch it I still get chills up my spine, but what made the scene perfect was after Spirit shows Molly what really happened the silent character sheds a single tear and then flies away.

This episode is a work of art and is absolutely beautiful to watch.

I’ve never been a big fan of this series’ Riddler at all and when I heard about this episode covering his origin I was less than optimistic to watch it but I did since the rest of season 4 had proven to be so great. And what do you know this episode’s origin of the Riddler to me is far better than the one done on Batman: The Animated Series. It had such surprising depth for a character that I saw as purely two dimensional, and the episode at the end makes you feel incredibly sympathetic to the Riddler especially when it’s revealed that the woman he possibly loved is the one who betrayed him and ruined his life. And at the end we see a now humanized character shed a tear.

In my opinion this episode is just another of the great episodes of season 4 and personally as a hard core Batman fan I’m incredibly happy with how the creators handled this episode and the Riddler character.

What can be said about this episode that hasn’t already been said? This is one of the best episodes of the series and one of the best musicals I’ve ever heard. Each character (Except for Willow :P) had great singing voices and even better songs that just kept pulling you into this episodes story, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this episode and I’m still not tired of it in any way. Obviously if I were to pick three episodes of Buffy that I thought were the center pieces of the series this episode would be one of them automatically. What makes this episode great is it was able to be a musical while also staying true to the series so the episode never feels weirdo or out of place in the series having the same formula that the other episodes of the show has.

This was very creative and also took a lot of thought and work and because of that I applaud everyone that worked on this episode to make it such a pivotal episode in the ‘Verse. Even if your not a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer you should give this episode a shot I promise that you won’t be disappointed in it’s quality or it’s entertainment value.
