Jared Padalecki gave me.......

In case you live a pitiful life and don't know who Jared Padalecki is (shame on you btw) ....he plays "Sam" on the TV show "Supernatural"...and if you have heard of him...but don't even watch SPN...what can I even say?...I can only **shake my head** at your foolishness

Ha ha!!!!

I was lucky (exxxxttrreemmmeeellyyyy lucky) to meet Jared at the Supanova Expo in Sydney (Australia) recently...with my younger sis Julie & my online mate Sally (Bright_Eyes_05)

None of us had been to a convention b4...though Supanova is actually billed as a "Pop Culture Expo"...Jared was a last moment replacement for "Heroes" actress Hayden Panettiere who had to pull out due to the possible upcoming actor's strike...with like around 2 weeks to go til the event Jared generously stepped in...little darlin'

Sally & I had never met b4...but I invited her up to spend the week at my place...and we had a fabulously fabulous time! And shared the goodness that is Jared

Oh Sal!!!! Didn't we have the best time ever???? Like in the history of best times!!! Oh Jared!!!!

Lemme just say I have never had to wait in so many queues for so long in my entire life...and it's no exaggeration to say that over 2 days we (no joke) easily would've spent a total of 10 hours queuing up...luckily Mr. Padalecki was well worth every second & every throbbing ache of my tired feet Waiting to get into the expo...waiting to pay for Jared's autograph/pic...waiting to get him to sign stuff...waiting to have your pic taken with him...and doing it all again the next day

There were so many fans there to see Jared & he had limited set times for autographs & pics so you were forced to whip thru...which was a little disappointing...but didn't ruin the weekend at all.

On Saturday we met him for the first time when we got him to sign stuff for us...it's hard to put into words just how lovely he really is...I mean I've read about & seen footage of him at other conventions...so I know what he's like...but physically meeting him...being in his space...talking to him...it's just so beyond awesome...not just because he's Jared...Sammy Winchester...actor from my fave TV show (though yeah that was of course part of it)...but just as a person he is so very genuine...considerate...polite...when he smiles at you, you feel special...like he wants to be there...and is psyched to meet you...even though he's just signed hundreds of autographs b4 he got to yours

He was all stubbly & gorgeous as well...couldn't help but notice that fact!

Everybody was at the barrier taking pics of Jared while he was signing...even if they couldn't see they still held up their cameras & were taking pics...hoping he'd be in them. After we got our stuff signed on Sat...we stood at the barriers snapping pics for ages! People were giving Jared gifts, asking for hugs (and no I didn't get a hug the whole weekend...cos I was too chicken)...and countless times people handed him mobile phones asking him to talk to their friends who couldn't make it there...which he never refused.

It was a tad embarassing for the other stars there signing stuff with Jared. He had his own line-up queue with a red carpet. And he (of course) had an endless queue of fans waiting. The other stars...Nichelle Nichols from "Star Trek", Kandyse McClure from "Battlestar Galactica", another chick called Nalini Krishan...possibly from "Star Wars" (not sure) & Jewel Staite "Kaylee" from "Firefly" had a combined queue for fans...but alot of the time they had nobody even waiting to see them. Poor things!

I absolutely adore "Firefly"...so I got Jewel to sign her pic for me...but I went all shy & all I said was "Hello" to her!

Don't ask me what we said to Jared on the Sat signing...or what he said to us...cos honestly it was just all a blur of wonderfulness

Btw...in case ya wondering...Suze is my nickname...Susan is my given name

OMG getting my pic taken with Jared was so beyond everything known to man Everytime I was having my pic taken with him b4hand I kept telling myself remember to make sure my glasses weren't askew & to take a big sniff of Jared! But of course I forgot to do both every time!

Having your pic taken with Jared is a blurry whirlwind of amazement...cos there are so many folks that want to have a pic with him....it's all rush, rush, rush. There's a security guard at the front of the photo booth & he practically pushes you in...saying once you see that flash go off for the gal b4 ya...jump in! As I stepped in (glares at security guard)...Jared literally grabbed me, pulled me to him, then sorta did this tuck you in thing...I'm tall...but he's 6'4"...and he then nestles his cheek against your hair....ahhhhh...so ya got that??? Grab, pull, tuck, nestle! And his arm's around you...and your arm's around him...so you're touching all the way along. Don't ask me what we said to each other cos I was in a total "OMG this is Jared" moment. Then the flash goes off...it was extra rushy for us...cos me, Julie & Sally all had our individuals done...then a group one together...stupid security guard was trying to dictate the pic order...cripes he still annoys me even now! Then the next thing ya know you're outside the booth...thinking did that just really happen????

What it must be like to have to smile for a gazillion pics one after the other...he truly was a trooper the whole weekend...I can't praise him enough

We did do a couple of other things at the expo Not that I've ever watched it b4...but we took in a Dragon Ball Z competition...and there was a live cross over to the US & the UK to talk to Selma Blair & director Guillermo del Toro re the new movie "Hellboy 2"...which were both real cool

On Sunday we went back to do it all again. Yay!!! We were wwwaaaayyyy back this time in the line up for Jared's autograph...so we couldn't see much of him...and when we got closer there were always too many people in the way to take decent pics. And after we got his autograph again we had to hurry over to get seats for his Q&A....so didn't get many pics at all on the Sunday.

This time he had on a pink & white shirt with a white t-shirt underneath. He had shaved...but wasn't totally clean-shaven. And he had a sweet little green hat on.

We nearly keeled over in giddy delight when he remembered us from the day b4...I wish I could've taken him home

Oh Jared!

We had 3 group photos taken in total...and sometimes I think crazy arse ideas is my middle name We found ourselves standing outside a fake tattoo stand...and we saw a "Supernatural" tattoo. So I'm like tattoo...J2...SPN ep... We gotta get tattoos under our tops ala Sam & Dean & do a homage to the "Jus In Bello" ep in one of our group pics...yay!!!!

But all 3 of us are shy...and nobody wanted to rush over to get the tat done...cos the guy who's doin' the spraying isn't someone ya want a) thinking about your upper boobage area b) looking at it or c) touching it. But we eventually all sucked it up & got the tats done...stage one over *phew*...now we just had to work up the courage to expose em to Jared in the pic

Cripes it was a mega cla$$ic!!!!!!! I just showed my tat & Jared looks down and goes "Whoa!" The look on his face in the pic is sssssssooooooooo funny!

And I totally wanted Jared to do the "Sammy Heartbreak Face"...ya know when Sam's eyes go all sad & it looks like his heart is breaking...which in turn breaks my heart...but when we tried to explain it to him in like our 5 second window of opportunity...he didn't know what we were on about...cos SHF is like my name for it...the pic got taken & Jared goes "I think I got it"...love him!

JARED PADALECKI is coming to Sydney Australia (OMG where I live!!!!)...next weekend & he's doin' a convi called Supanova...and OMG I've got a ticket....and OMG I'm gonna meet him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yipee!!!!! **happy dance**

But not only that...I also get to meet (for the 1st time) my online mate Sally (Bright_Eyes_05)...yay!!!!! So it's double the excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting some hugs from some Aussie chicks is just what Jared needs right now!

Big work move is sorta over...the office is in...the warehouse is still coming over...I survived! I always worry, carry on & panic 'bout stuff...usually unwarranted

People underestimate the value of a good ramble

So ya know how we're moving premises at my work? Well it's been postponed...til tomorrow!!!! I still haven't even seen the new place yet **butterflies**

The delightful Gibozzo & I went out on our 2nd date this week...and we wore each other out! Saw McDreamy's new flick "Made Of Honour"...which was quite predictable...but watchable. Honestly though Patrick Dempsey...so not sexy...I don't get it Oh & Kath....you are THE best!!!! xxx

I am a Taurean...so it just may be my birthday soon But my birthday's always suck. Other than the obvious...Jensen on his knees before me, holding a carrot cake in his hands...all I want for a pressie is one of those knitted hats that have the ear flaps & pom poms on the end of the ties But my sis said it was dumb

Shout out to the awesome Jenna...I'm her stalker/Buffy watching partner We're watching all the seasons of "Buffy..." (which my blog title may just be a quote from) & then we'll move onto "Angel". Really enjoying the re-watch...though it's wearing me out...as I'm uplate every night!

So just so ya all know...this is only gonna be a mini Suze blog...truly...I had alot of crap lined up...but ain't got the time to do it all...sorry I haven't been able to comment in everyone's blogs lately either...I need more hours in the day!
