Jason Castro has taken some time to grow on my mother. And I guess I am getting use to him. It isn't that he has a bad voice. Jason's voice is quite nice. It is Jason's attitude. And he isn't the only one with this attitude. There is someone else that was on the show, or still is on the show with the same attitude.

Something about Jason seems quite "convinced" or "conceited." He comes across as being "Mr Wonderful." Some people would complain at times that fame can go do someone's head. Well, Jason might have a lot of other things that have gone to his head. For example Jason might just think that he is very good looking. Perhaps this is so.

His long locks certainly give him somewhat of an original look. Or is it all that original. But what would he look like without those locks.

I guess with some recent songs that Jason has sung on American Idol, it has given him this softer side. Which is really nice. So what does Jason need. A little humbleness. "Pride comes before the fall." So I hope he doesn't get too prideful. Although I am sure Jason thinks he is wonderful. Who knows what other people think.

Amanda Overmyer is a very talented young lady. It was interesting seeing how many outfits she could come up with. Her voice seemed somewhat raspy. At least when she spoke. However, I could imagine Amanda Overmyer as a rock star. It was what she was.

The outfits, the voice, the stage performances all went together to make the entire package called Amanda Overmyer. There was something unique about Amanda. And she seemed somewhat outgoing and yet able to hold her own. There were no tears in Amanda's eyes when she was bootted off American Idol. She just cut her losses and went on. Amanda didn't even want to have a hug. Just told her friend to go sit down. She did this politely. Amanda knew this would be her last performance on American Idol and simply wanted to get to what needed to be done. Sort of pulling herself up by her bootstraps and going on. But much more than that. Amanda is a very strong person. It showed on the television.

Amanda, even though she isn't going on, brought something to American Idol that I haven't seen in the times I have watched the show. I wonder where life will lead her.

Mr David Cook is a very good singer. My mom wasn't sure if he liked him or not. But the guy kind of grows on you. I think perhaps David could be quite good looking if he fixed up himself a bit. He sort of reminds me of the host. Except David is taller and wider.

I don't mean to sound cruel, but perhaps if you got someone from "What not to Wear" on the show (Miss London) or someone like her David would improve. And it isn't so much his dress as it is his hair.

I got a chuckle out of seeing him as a bar tender on one of your shows. This is what he does as a job. And it isn't so much that David is a bar tender. It is his appearance. The guy reminded me of a drunk. For example you wondered if he was dipping into the "juice" after he got off work. I would imagine that that type of a job might lead to alcoholism. Although I am not saying here that that is David's problem. I am just commenting on his appearance.

To make David look less like a drunk he needs to do some things. Like shave and do something with his hair. I hope he doesn't wear too many skeletons on his tee shirts. My son use to wear that type of thing all the time. I felt like I was constantly looking at death. It gets depressing. Although I understand that the Grateful Dead was a very good band.

So David is a good singer that needs to clean himself up a bit. How good? Well, I am not quite sure yet.
