In this episode Josef narrowly escapes death when someone from his past hires a mercenary to fire bomb his office. Mick and Beth follow Josef to New York city to find out the truth behind what happened. What they discover is shocking... the man who wants Josef dead is the father of a woman that Josef tried to "turn" 50 years ago, Sarah. The turning went terribly wrong and Sarah has been in a coma ever since. The mercenary also finds Josef in New York and once again attempts to take him out, but Mick is there to save the day.

This episode was great not only because we get to see more of Josef, but because we get to see his more emotional, vulnerable side. We also get to see another side of Mick when he finally puts his heart on his sleeve for Beth.

This is my favorite episode so far.

In episode two, Out Of The Past, Mick is confronted by a man from his past. Lee Jay Spaulding, who was convicted of murder 25 years ago, is released from prison and is Hell bent on getting revenge on Mick for helping to put him in prison. The complication for Mick here is that Lee Jay knows what he is... and he knows how to kill him. Beth ends up saving Mick's life... and finding out about his secret in the process.
This was not my favorite episode, but it's worth watching just for the ending... the moment when Mick's secret is finally revealed to Beth.

The show begins with Mick St. John dreaming about being interviewed about his life as a vampire. This gives us a quick glimpse into the new kind of vampire show we're about to watch. This show doesn't stick the same old vampire myths... Mick is different. The writers and actors did a beautiful job of introducing Mick St. John and the individuals (both human and vampire) in his life. We're introduced to Beth Turner. Beth was kidknapped as a child by Mick's ex-wife (the woman who "turned him" into a vampire). Mick rescues Beth and watches over her throughout her life. In this episode Beth runs into Mick at a crime scene. She's sure she recognizes him, but can't quite place him. The two end up working together on the murder case. When Beth finds herself in danger, Mick is there to save her once again.
Great episode. A lot of exciting and touching moments. There is also a lot of subtle humor in this show.

Having not been a fan of the vampire genre, I was iffy about watching Moonlight. However, I gave it a try and I am so glad I did! This has quickly become my favorite show.

Mick St. John is a vampire and private investigator. He struggles to maintain a balance between the vampire that he is and the human side of himself that he wants to hang onto.
Mick falls in love with Beth, whom he saved as a child. Beth was kidknapped by Mick's ex-wife, also a vampire. Mick found Beth, rescued her, and stayed close all her life... to watch out for her and keep her safe. Beth changed Mick's life and now they work together... and try to navigate their way through this new relationship that's developing.

This show has something for everyone. Action, romance, betrayal, murder, revenge...
I highly reccomend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. If you have seen it and only watched one or two episodes... I say give it another chance. Moonlight will take a bite out of you too!
