What the Fetch!

I borrow that phrase from Grant Wilson, thanks for filling us in on what exactly you're always saying. I always thought it was something like fedge.

Anyway, the reason I borrow that phrase is because I want to know what is up. Twice now I've found charges for services on my bank account that I know nothing about. The first one was last week, for $12.95, and when I called to find out what it was about I was chagrined to find out that when I'd ordered something online, (I think it was my desk) I was signed up for a free trial at this place, it was a coupon thing that offered roadside assistance and coupons on different restaurants and such. Now, okay, if I order something I don't mind getting a free trial of a certain website, but I should NOT be charged ANYTHING unless I buy the service. My card number should never be given to ANYONE else! So, I cancelled the service, but didn't get a refund. Then this week I'm checking my account to make sure the cable/phone/Internet bill had gone through and I was surprised to find another charge I knew nothing about. This on for $19.95. Now I KNOW I have never been to this website (another road side service place and it seems also a free look at my credit report) and so I call them up and again it had something to do with signing up for a free seven day trial. Which I NEVER did! Now they didn't mention that it went through when I ordered something, but I can't think of how else this happened. Now I'm worried about how many other services such as these that I've been signed up for. As it is, this charge put my account in the red, if my power bill goes through before I can get more money in it. And that means another $35 dollar charge from the bank. I just can't believe that this could happen. When you order something online your card number shouldn't be given to anyone else, and this is really making me mad. I'm not someone who has a lot of extra money just sitting in the bank. The money there is for specific bills and things and not for these kinds of stupid things. Well, now that I've vented, I think I'll go check my account and see if any other charges have gone through. I swear I will really badmouth the service I used to buy my desk if it turns out that they sold my card number.

Mood... Pissed Off!

A Thousand Days On Earth, recaplet, beware spoilers. Also updates and a video.

This one is a sad one.

A comedian is on stage, blathering on. He gets heckled on a joke about abortion and blows the guy off. He gets off stage and calls home to ask his wife if he needs to stop and pick up anything and to ask about their baby. A car screeches by and we get a nice piece of mis-direction when we think he's about to be this weeks victim, but no, it's just one of his fans telling him how funny he his. Still there is a feeling of foreboding as he gets in his car. He starts to back up and sees a box in his review camera. Cut to Brass Grissom and Catherine standing around looking down at a small child in the box.

Catherine take point with the body and finds bruising and small burns on the girls skin. David enters the pertinent info into the computer as Jane Doe. Later, Catherine changes the name to Cordelia.

Grissom takes the box she was found in and a bar code leads them to the address of a woman who had sent her a vacuum for her birthday. She's a chatty Cathy and talks non stop about what a good vacuum it is. Brass just wants to know what she did with the box. She calls to her boyfriend Dean James. (James Dean, backwards) and he says he thinks he threw it away.

Grissom also finds a hair in the tape on the box and a viscus liquid on the bottom. The hair belongs to Leo (something) who just happens to be Dean James. So they go back to talk to him and take him in. Turns out that when he was younger he did drugs and decided it would be fun to dance around outside sans clothes. Bad thing was it was in front of a bunch of pre-schoolers. So he got booked on a sex offense and had to register under Megan's law. Due to this he got harassed everywhere he lived, including having his cat nailed to his door. So, he decided to go with an alias and then he got his girlfriend and lived mostly with her. Catherine thinks he's lying.

Hodges brings in results on the viscous liquid and it's oil. He tells Grissom and Catherine that it's always a shame when such a beautiful child is killed, and Catherine takes exception to that, thinking that he'd think it would be okay if it's an ugly child. He gets confused and tries to explain his way out of it, but it's a moot point and Catherine leaves, mad. He asks Grissom if he made her mad, Grissom says yes, but she was on her way there before he opened his mouth.

Nick finds out that Leo had taken a car part to a garage in the vacuum box, and Catherine becomes more convinced that Leo is the killer because he lied.

Wendy discovers that the child's hair has been dyed or bleached, and Grissom quizzes her on how long ago it was. I think he's testing her because she's told him she wants to take the field test.

Also the burns on the child were chemical burns. Now the investigators know they're searching for a brown haired girl with straight hair. The televise an updated picture and the tv playing in the mess hall in a prison shows it. One man goes crazy on seeing the picture and yells that that's his daughter.

Catherine comes to talk to him and he says he knows who killed her. Seems he had a cell-mate who he bragged to about his perfect wife and child, and when the guy got out he asked him to watch out for them. A while later his wife divorces him and marries the former cell-mate. His wife had died when he was in prison, leaving him to take care of his daughter and son. Catherine searches the house and finds a chemical spill under the sink. No one is around. Brass puts out an APB.

A diner owner calls in when he sees the family and the step-dad takes the diner hostage. The task force leader asks him to let the kids and other diners out and he does. Then his wife goes to leave, not really wanting to, and trips and falls into the door. The attack squad thinks a gun was fired and they start shooting, killing the wife.

Brass is talking to the stepfather who says he's guilty and he'll sign anything they want him to. Catherine talks to the kids and find out they had been playing hide and seek and and the older girl had shown her where to hide under the sink. The stepfather had been asleep on the couch. The brother found his sister but not his stepsister. The father wakes up and find two of the kids sitting quietly and asks where their sister is. They lead him to the sink where chemicals are spilling out. He grabs her and runs for the...bus. He says his wife had the car. Anyway the girl dies and he thinks no one will believe an ex-convict didn't kill her, so he puts her in a box and puts his St. Jude necklace around her and leaves her in the parking lot.

Catherine is walking to her car in the garage and Leo (Dean James) comes up and starts to lay into her. Due to her insistence that he was the killer his girlfriend dumped him and called his job and told them that he was a sex offender and she threw his clothes out. He says he might decide to kill himself, since he doesn't have anything anymore, and if he does, he'll do it on her front lawn.

As I said, this is only on watching once, so I may have missed a couple of parts, but I don't hink I missed anything too important.

Also, this weeks updates.

Grissom's Divine Comedy - Recaplet. Spoiler alert, story content ahead.

Grissom, Nick, and Greg are sick. Looks like Grissom has been hit hardest, but is pulled into work, nonetheless.

DA, Maddie something or other, is in need of help on her case where her number one witness to the murder of a man by a gang member has just been killed, and she wants the best, (and I'm pretty sure she really wants him. ) in one Gil Grissom to help her find out how the gang member put the hit out on her man. Grissom gets Catherine to beam back crime scene photos to his computer, but Maddie isn't happy with his hands off method, and wants him on the case, and she doesn't care about how sick he is.

She drops by with some case files and they sit down to watch some scintillating video of the witness telling what he saw. He's more worried about a traffic offense than with the fact that he might have witnessed a murderer escaping. She also talks smack about Grissom's team, which I think was uncalled for.

Grissom drags himself out of his comfy apartment and he and Warrick go to check out the gang leaders apartment, to see if they can find the clothes he wore on the night of the murder. They head up the stairs but half way of an explosion rocks the house and Warrick is thrown from the stair case, while Grissom ducks and covers. They discover the house had been doused in butane and a "McGuyvered" bomb had been planted to destroy any evidence.

Brass and co round up all the gang members and find one that seems the likely suspect, but he denies getting orders from the gang leader. Warrick checks out the leaders jail cell and doesn't find any means of communication, and he's not allowed visitors, or mixing with the general population.

It turns out to be possible that Maddie herself is the one that led the gang to know about the Grand Jury, as she met with the witness in a public place and then led them back to the court house where she just happened to be witnessed leading 12 random people into the courthouse. Way to lay low, Maddie.

Anyway, Grissom uses his Grissomness to figure out that the gang tag that had been on the car was stenciled on, then paint over to make it look more freehand, and put that with the fact that Hodges figured out that paint wasn't spray paint, but a hand-mixed oil based paint, and bingo, they figure out that a gang member wasn't the one to do the tagging.

So who do they suspect now, well, the wife he was always fighting with, and her father, who loves his little girl. And oops, daddio forgot to throw away the proof that his paint brush and paint were used on the car, and he's caught red handed. Don't think darling daughter is has any gratitude though, she thinks he's a big bully.

Grissom discovers that he gang leader was a regular in the library and shows off his literature knowledge when he finds the books by author without asking. He discovers that a page has been torn out of the middle of each book, and that the prisoner still has the last book. So, off they go to check out the book, forestalling the prisoners release. Turns out that he's been leaving urine messages in the books, and the last one is to put a hit out on DA Maddie. So, he'll be going away fro conspiracy to commit murder, if nothing else.

Now, Maddie and Grissom sit down for a drink, and she says that he's the best man in her life. He's either her enabler, or her soul mate, and by the smirk on Grissom's face, you know which one it is.

So, Grissom finally makes it home, after walking Hank, and drops down on the couch. The phone rings, and he sighs, afraid he'll have to go out again. He picks it up and looks at the ID, and visibly relaxes, laying back on the couch and smiling, ready to talk for hours. And if you don't know who the caller is, well, you're just DENSE!

Yes, I know I didn't mention everything, but I'm working from memory, and I only saw the ep once. I'll add to it once I watch again.

I give it 4 smiles.

New CSI tonight, and I can't wait! :] :] :]

That's about all I have to say about that for now, except that this episode should ROCK! If they kept more stuff like that deleted scene. They've been promoting Grissom's apartment so much that no showing it would be stupid, so I hope we get something.

I'll have more to say tomorrow.

And a couple of updates.

So, the Miniature Serial Killer is a woman, which isn't something I really expected. I don't know the actress who played her, (though she looked familiar) but she played the roll of a crazy killer very well. I loved how they explained why she looked at things in miniature, and why the bleach was so important. Congrats to Hodges for figuring that out, so that what some would have considered a filler ep, was actually quite important. That doll song is going to be in my head for a while. I went into this finale thinking there would be one of two outcomes. One, Sara would die, Two, Sara would live. The former would have meant a depressing summer, as Sara is my second favorite character, (second only to Grissom) and not having her around would make the show less exciting. Because I'll admit, as much as I love a good mystery, and the science of this show, the relationship puts that extra ZING into the show for me. I hope beyond hope that Sara is back next year, but at least they didn't give me a forlorn summer. I loved the looks on the gangs faces when Grissom admitted to loving Sara. I'll be counting the days until the start of season 8!

Very interesting case. I felt that it was believable, and not as funny as the last two episodes. This is a good thing, because though I love the occasional funny ep, I love a good case with intricate twists and turns as well. From the title, I'd worried about a third funny episode in a row, but though it had its funny moments, it wasn't all about the funny. Haven't seen Ally Sheedy in a while, and I liked her performance here. Anyone else get the feeling that these people may have been on some kind of drug. That one woman did mention that Preston had given her medicine. Could be that he was drugging them to control them. Any who, poor Greg, and was Cath flirting with him. Yeah, I think Warrick needs to hurry up and get a divorce. Speaking of which, doesn't seem like the marriage is going too well. Can't say I'm surprised. I have to say I disagree with Nick’s sentiment that you shouldn't date someone you work with. You just need to leave work stuff at work, except for truly important stuff, and then you give it a time limit at home. And that leads me to... Grissom and Sara. Love their scene together. Glad she finally got the letter, and my my, Grissom was looking HOT in his jeans. On his building of the model, it doesn’t worry me. Grissom has lots of interests, and I don't think he'd allow where something come from to determine the hobbies he has. Plus, it might help him get into the killers minds. Can’t wait for next week.

I had high hopes for this episode, and I wasn't disappointed. I was kept in suspense wondering what actually killed this guy, and I liked it. It was kinda weird seeing little Chrissy from Growing Pains as a dippy, and has it turns out, murderous hooker. Oh sorry, Pleasure Provider. The other blond hooker looked familiar, but I couldn't place her. The Connor flash backs reminded me of that X-files episode that they did in black and white. The one with the man with two faces. It had that creepy feel. Great GSR moment. The FFH and GSR in the same scene, priceless. The poem was nice also. I knew Sara would know it. Can't wait for next week.

Aside from the opening scenes, which seemed to be thrown in there for some misguided ratings grab attempt. I thought this was a very good episode. In fact, this episode didn't get a perfect ten rating, because of that scene. I liked the fact that "Drops" returned, and once again he's innocent only by the skin of his teeth. Loved his comment to Nicky, "CSI Nick Stokes, I see you're between bad haircuts." Also interesting how they included the James family in the case. If I had been Sofia, I don't think I would have handled that wine throwing incident with as much aplomb. I was glad to finally see Greg stand up for himself, and still remain the kindhearted guy he is by recommending the DA go light on Aaron. Glad to see that Aaron has wised up, and knows better than to hang out with "Drops" and his crew.

It was nice to finally get a Saracentric episode, and I'm hoping to see more of her. Being attacked twice in one show is a record, I think, and maybe a little foreshadowing. I think it sad that some guys think that because a woman smiles in his general direction, she asking for him to have sex with her. It's not like I can even say, Well, it's just a television show, because sadly, this happens in real life. Then, to kill not just the one girl, which is bad enough, but to then kill all her roommates, it's just senseless. I am glad that this is one case they solved. For me, I knew the guy who was cut was the killer, because it made no sense for him to be attacked. Loved the "My date was cancelled scene, and the end scene with Grissom comforting Sara.

Hello. Thanks for your interest in my profile. Due to recent problems, I'm made my blog friends only. If you'd like to friend me, and I don't know you from somewhere, please PM me to introduce yourself. Thanks. Now, about me. My name is Susan and I live in Georgia. I love CSI, The Amazing Race, The Closer, Monk, and so many more, but CSI above ALL! I also am embarrassed to say I watch Big Brother US. I'm very disappointed with this season, and will be very depressed if Dick wins. Let me also say, though I am a Christian, I do not believe that God cares much for who wins which POV, or indeed who wins the show because I believe he has far more important things on his plate, so Amber and Jameka, please stop with the prayers. And Amber, it's a game; it doesn't make you selfish to play it. If that's your way of thinking, isn't it selfish for you to pray to win? Sorry, but this is just something that bothers me.
