    • Black Friday Sales and Lots of Portable Gaming.

      How was everyone's weekend? Anybody get anything good from the Black Friday sales? I didn't go but my parents did and I know they got me Guitar Hero 3 with 2 guitars (and for only $85!) for Christmas. As for anything else they got I have no idea... I did go to some places on the Saturday after and there were some great sales then. I was in Michigan visiting relatives and we figured we'd stop at some places. We went to Gamestop and they were having a buy two used games get one free sale, so I picked up: Gungrave: Overdose (PS2) $5.99, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (Xbox) $17.99, and Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade (PSP) $8.99. From a place called Gibraltar's (basically a huge flea market but with mostly new stuff) I picked up Galaga: Demons of Death (NES) for $5.00. Other than... Read more »

    • Half-Life 2 has been conquered! Also, Dreamcast.

      Hey Gamespot! Just want to fill you guys in on some stuff. Today I beat Half-Life 2 for the Xbox and it was fantastic, definitely one of the best games i've played. After I beat it I was really wanting to play Episode 1 so I mentally went over my options:1. Get a new computer.2. Get a 360.3. Play it over feshmans house In the end i've decided on most likely getting a new computer, as the one I own now is pretty old and I wanted to get a 360 after the Aug 2008 update. So I might be putting my Christmas money toward a new computer. In other news, I got a Dreamcast! I got a pretty good deal on it ($30 for the system, controllers, a vmu, and cords) and i've been enjoying it.     • Atari 2600 is here!

      This's blog's a little late but I just wanted to let you guys know that my 2600 got here on Monday and i'm having a great time with it. Playing a lot of my favorite classics (Centipede, Space Invaders, Missle Command, Warlords) from my house is just awesome and it's really fun messing around with the variations. Other than that everything's pretty much the same. I did pick up some games from a pawn shop on Thursday, they were:Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (PS2) $10.00Gorf (2600) $3.00Super Mario World (SNES) $5.00The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) $5.00Super Metroid (SNES) $5.00So yeah, some really good games.
