This episode reflects all the spirit which helped to launch this tv project. This episode is unconventional, is memorable, with an impressionant writing and direction by Stuart Gordon and, of course, the remarkable acting of Jeffrey Combs.

In all aspects, this episode is the best realization to the date on "Masters of horrors". The spirit of this minimovie it's about anguish, human classic fears, psychological rupture of spirit (schizophrenia), about the lost of human soul... aspects which were characterizing Poe's life, on all of his absolute personality, we can see all this elements nicely represented on this magnficiant episode, which marks the best on all this tv series, on an époque - this second season - characterized by mediocre and aberrant episodes like "Dream cruise" or "We all scream for Ice Scream". This episode, and I can tell you, will be revisited, and of course, I will attend to its release on DVD.

This episode marks the WORSE episode I've ever seen... I've ever seen, yes, because if I'm watching something and at the middle of the movie (or episode) I don't see anything, actually, I stop. But I wanted to stay to the end because I hope this series could be surprising yet... or minimally, something to watch... but no...

First of all, this episode is a really embarasing copy of STEPHEN KING'S IT. All the story has the basic elements of King's story. ALL. A bunch of kids return together after 20 or 25 years, when something bad happened, with a evil clown... with some misterious murders... ALL the elements but surprisingly turned into a really bad... it seems a tv movie like Hallmark's films... or even a episode of "Murder she wrote". This is absolutely WORST. I have no idea why I'm watching yet this tv series... "Pelts", "Right to die", "Valerie on the stairs"... Horrible. And this episode, "We all scream for ice cream" - it would have to be titled "We all scream for this piece of b*******". I really apreciated the first episodes from this season, specially "Sounds like" or Joe Dante's or John Landi's... but this, it has to be stopped. I can't stand for anything more like this... I doubt to watch "The Washingtonians" and the two final episodes...

I will not be surprised if Showtime won't make a third season...

I'm a fan of "Masters of horrors" since episode 1 and I thought season 1 was really good (with amazing directors and creative storylines, with really good episodes like "Cigarette burns", "Sick Girl", "Incident on and off a montain road", the reluctant "Chocolate" very interesting or Larry Cohen's "Pick up"). Season 2 has been interesting... at the beginning with "Family", "The V Word" (I liked it much) and the amazing political Joe Dante "The screwfly solution" or 2 "Sounds like"...

But after this fabulous beggining the series begin to down to an unwaited limits... It is so painful to watch John Carpenter's episode "Pro-Life", "Right to die" or "We Scream for Ice Cream", they are so fu**ing cliché, with ridiculous storylines and mediocre actors and a direction which seems to be directed by some hollywood director or a dreadful writer from "Gilmore Girls" or "Dawson's creek"... or worse yet, like one of the "CSI" writings...

Horrible. Horrible. I want to stop watching this... I prefer a few good episodes against the rest of season two... plenty of scary times... I mean, it's so scary about the quality of the episodes, directors & actors...

STOP
