Sure, this show isn't 'Medium' but it's not a crime solving type of a show. I liken this ghost-drama more to 'Touched by an Angel' as it usually moves the audience to tears in the end, rather than Medium's mystery-solving endings. People who compare the two series are obviously only drawing a connection between the "I see dead people" parts and not the rest of it. There are definately strong women leading both shows and each of them have supportive husbands who help them to sort the details and ground them when it's too much. But while Allison can see the dead, her gift is psychic, reading impressions, interpreting dreams, and so forth, Melinda has one gift, the ability to see the dead. She can speak with them and therefore they effect her dreams and daily life, but she does not attempt to do anything more than help them to move on.

In this episode we get a few more clues about \'the others\'. From Goodwin and Ana Lucia\'s interaction with him, I think we might be able to link \'the others\' to the Peace Corps. Goodwin mentioned the corps and also had survival skills and a military issued blade. Could \'the others\' be some special military troop sent to either protect or clean up project Dharma?

My 3 year old son will sit and stare for an hour at the television when I put this show on. Caillou is experiencing the things my son deals with everyday, from having to share or being told play quietly; to seeing a shooting star for the first time or helping Mommy bake a cake. His parents are what I think every parent strives to be. They are patient with Caillou and they explain his world to him very well. Yes, his 'adventures' may not entice even a 7 year old child, but that is because they've grown past the stage of experienceing the ups and downs of that bridge between 'baby' and 'toddler'.
