We have an early summer, but it's just May..
I'm home sick, and don't have the energy to even go out in the garden, but we have a balcony, and we have a permanent sunshine here, so I've got this really nice tan, and I have read alot of books... so if I watch the bigger picture, it's not so bad to just stay at home!!
The only thing that drives me sort of crazy is that I'm missing the last weeks of school, but I could go to school and sit there in the at my desk, but I wouldn't remember what the teacher talked about, so it would be a huge vaste of time...

In this epi we find out alot about the history behind the story... the Scott name, Camilla, Peyton's mom, Karen vs Deb... It's a background epi!

This is a great episode, I recognize the opening scene with Peyton and Haley in Brooks car... Lucas and Nathan come to some kind of acceptance...
OTH Back to the beginning - s01e04 - Crash into you
Ok.. I don't think this episode is one of the better ones.. It feels like it's on repeat or something... Nathan is beaing a jerk and Lucas can't handle it!
Deb was ballanced! It's really a long time ago...
Peyton seams so fake when she breaks up with Nathan... Later on there is an episode where the tables are turnes, where Dan married Karen instead of Deb, and Peyton breaks up with Lucas instead... That scene is so much better than this one...

American documentaries
I don't get why documnetaries have to be so embarrassing... especially the American ones... they prey on peoples misery... I don't get why they can't just be objective, isn't that interesting enough or what???

OK so it is the 53rd year this thing is going on! And there are more countries than ever who has submitted a song, so for the first time we have two semi finales before the big finale. But the thing that is a bit disturbing is that Great Britain, Spain, Germany and France has a permanent spot in the finale, it's because they give so much money to the competition, but I think it's wrong. I live in Sweden and we take this thing really serious, we have a 6 part competition to choose the song we wanna send to the big ESC, and it's a big thing, over a third of the population watch our domestic finale! I think it's kind of weird how people can send so stupid songs to this competition, I like the eastern European countries because they take it seriously!!
Hopefully Estonia, and Ireland will send something less sucky next year!!
Tonight is the second semi finale and I'm counting the minutes to 21:00 when it begins!!

Did Dan buy that tombstone for real?? Loving husband, brother and father, what bullsh*t! And next to Keith's stone, so unrespectful.

Mouth and the sports thing is not so entertaining... I have nothing against Mouth, or Mouth and Millie, but Mouth is, in my opinion, in the show to keep it somewhat grounded, and in that perspective Mouth doing good, defeats his purpose in the series.
Dan/Nathan/Lucas and the heart thing... come on, get over it. Nathan has been angry at Dan for three seasons before, and we're going down that road again... And Lucas tried to give Dan the benefit of the doubt a long time ago, and he always proved to be even worse than everyone thought every time.
And they brought up Peyton biological father. I loved how she explained why she don't want to meet him!

And the characters is growing up! Get rid of Dan so we can see Lucas, Nathan, Haley, Brooke & Peyton be adults! And for that we need to get rid of their parents! The writers got that in season 2 when Mr and Mrs James bought their motor home and left the show, so that Haley could be independent!
Peyton reading the ending of Lucas' book with tears in her eyes. And Lucas' voice over of what is written in the book, so we all now know what the "comet" meant to Lucas!

I just re-watched this episode... and this is where all the drama that will last for years is grounded! When I saw this for the first time, I only thought Brooke would be a small obstacle for Lucas and Peyton, I couldn't imagine that this would be the point were the drama begun.
But anyways. It's a great episode, it would have been a ten if it didn't destroyed Lucas & Peyton for the foreseeable future. The drama between Karen and Keith vs. Dan, and how Karen and Deb is getting friendly and we could all see how much Dan disliked that prospect.
And back to Brooke... how can someone be so mean to her own best friend? Can't she see how much Peyton likes Lucas? Is her need for confirmation bigger than the true love of her friend? I don't get it!

I have to say, I knew from the moment season 5 started and they intruduced Lindsey that Lucas would ask Lindsey to marry him at one point or another... but that he would do it like this, after Peyton kisses him, and then he kisses her, and then he goes home and proposes to Lindsey. But it is OTH and it is Lucas Eugene Scott, who is an expert of not knowing his own heart, so what did I expect, really? I love the way they have made Brooke more mature, she is over Lucas, and Lucas & Peyton, and when she said that she had been the Lindsey between Lucas and Peyton, I felt that she was an adult, for the first time. Brooke has always acted as an adult, but only because she has been on her own. Since her mother came into the picture, Brook have seemed less "Brookish" she lets her mother disrespect her, and that's not B Davis. Owen made Brooke realize some stuff, and I love that character, he is a little older withouth beeing a "parent" like Karen or Victoria, and he brings another dimension.
And I love Mia, that's my kind of music!!!

This episode is a good one. It pushed the story forward, and makes Nathan, Lucas, Peyton & Brooke mature a little bit in there own way.
Brooke realizes how her mother, Victoria, doesn't love here in the way Brooke wants her too or in the way a mother is supposed to. Lucas and Peyton have a monumental moment. Who gave up on who? Did Lucas by proposing, or Peyton by saying she wasn't ready? It's a big issue, and as every OTH fan know there has always been something between Lucas and Peyton no mather how much they want to deny it, Lucas want to supress in, Peyton says she has moved on. The thick red line for me throughout OTH has always been the epic love story between Peyton & Lucas, and that story has one of it's more defining moments in this episode. And I love the coversation I quoted in the summary, why does Mia want to make music? What is enough? Why do anyone want to persue their secret dream or obvious gole? What is Enough? it's a big question...
