Xyle XY
So I'm on break now for Christmas and I've been watching a bit of the TV series; Heroes, Standoff, Justice, Til Death, and now Kyle XY. Kyle XY is a great show and I can't wait for the next season.
For those that haven't seen Kyle XY, it is about a kid who shows up in the woods and has no idea who he is or anything. His knowledge is at the level of a baby and he has to learn everything on his own. This has become one of my favorite shows. I Think there is a lot that one can learn from it.

Air Guitar... That you can actually hear!
Have you found yourself playing the air guitar and wished you actually could produce noise by doing that? Well, now you can!
CSIRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, has created an air guiter which makes noise. It has sensors which are located on both of your elbows and wirelessly transmits your movements to a computer to output sound according to your motion.
The plan for this technology besides an air guitar is for use in developing applications for the health and sporting areas such as physiotherapy devices which will track postures and exercises. The air guitar is simply a way to try out the new technology in a fun manor and hey, maybe they'll make a couple extra dollars to help fund it
I wonder how much this 'air guitar' will cost.

Talk Show Host
It's been a while since I have done much on here besides just check in. From just jumping on for a sec here and there though I finally hit level 7, Talk Show Host.
This term in school has been very busy both in studies and as a Resident Assistant in the residence halls (dorms). I am ready for classes to be over for the term and start fresh. Hopefully I can get everything together earlier and it will be an easier term in the Winter. Ideally I'll be able to be around here more as well.
While back in school I have increased my collection of egg scales more. Just got 3 new scales in great condition w/ the original boxes and all and hoping to get a new one soon
I need to get pictures of them here shortly.
Ok, well back to the biochem studying. Peace all.

If only things would slow down
So I'm back at college for training as I am an RA, Resident Assistant. The residents will be moving in this Sunday and I have just been busy all day, whether it's for training (either myself or helping the new people, this is my second year doing this) or working on stuff I need to get done before everyone arrives and class begins. I will be teaching a class for about 20 freshmen for a total of 10 hrs as well which I need to get all ironed out.
If only this was my trouble. I just got a call from my brother telling my that one of my high school teachers died due to cancer which she has had for 2.5 yrs now. She was doing very well so this came very shockingly to me. I really liked her, she was one of my favorite teachers and I continue(d) to talk to her. Now I have a funeral to look forward to.
I seem to be too busy with all that is going on and can't enjoy it all. I know I need to take less on and slow down at times I just can't seem to do it. I haven't been able to even take an hour of time during the week to watch a show I enjoy VERY much, Prison Break. I was however able to go to So You Think You Can Dance? tour which was wonderful. It was so nice having that break and being able to forget everything. I went with my mom, a co-worker who has taught me so much during my journey towards becoming a veterinarian, and a friend of hers. The dance was great. The company I was with and the dancing was very nice and couldn't of come at a better time.
Well, enough typing, I gotta get back to getting stuff done, and I know very few will read this anyways ;P

Justice (2006) Prior Convictions Avg Score: 9.20 Total Ratings: 74 Total Reviews: 1 |
The episode was about a man who had been falsely accused (and convicted) of murdering his wife. Another murder occurred in his residence and he was blamed. Luther who was responsible for his conviction now defends him. They did a great job setting it up and displaying Luther's involvement.
Luther began believing he was write getting him convicted of the murder 15 years back and doesn't want any problems. The man comes to his office to ask for his help with this new problem, his landlord's death. He says he has gotten over what happened in the past, he just wants his help.
Luther wants no part in it, however the rest of the team wants to take on the case, especially Ron. When Ron is asked later by Tom why he is doing it for free Ron tells him it is an investment... an investment in Luther. He sees it as an opportunity for growth for Luther which will keep him on the side of the defense and make it unable for Luther to go back to prosecution.
As Luther looks into the case forced he begins to question if the man was guilty for the murder of his wife and later finds out he was innocent. This begins to tear him apart. He fights harder to keep this from happening for a second time and wins.
This episode is turning point for Luther. I look forward to seeing what he does in future episodes.

Justice (2006) Pilot Avg Score: 8.94 Total Ratings: 179 Total Reviews: 22 |
I found the show to be interesting. You start out with a 'crime' and end with what actually happened. I like this. I hope that during the season they have at least one where the attourneys are wrong, that way you can't tell who's right while watching the show.
I enjoyed watching it as they worked threw it and worked ahead of the other attourneys. One thing negative I have to say about the show is that it seemed to go by too fast. One reason for this is because I enjoyed it. Second, I would have liked to see more one the thought process as I enjoy seeing how people think. I am glad I watched the pilot and look forward to seeing how they do with the show next week.

So You Think You Can Dance Finale Avg Score: 8.50 Total Ratings: 26 Total Reviews: 5 |
I really loved the episode. I pretty much knew it was going to be between Benji and Travis way before the show and when I saw them highlight Donyelle's and Heidi's time there I knew they were going before it even started.
I was glad to see Benji win. He was a great dancer and a great performer. Every dance of his was praised except for one last week (that comes to mind for me) while Travis had multiple weeks in a row where he didn't do his best, but as Travis said they were his kryptonite. I was glad to see some of the other dancers back on to dance again. It was also interesting seeing the zombie dance or whatever to Rama Nama (Bang Bang) [I believe that's the name of the song] with more dancers then the initial dancing of it.
In some of the group dances (specially the first one with all 20 back on stage) that everyone was not together and people were missin it.
The dances that the judges and the dancers picked as their favorites matched mine for most of them. I loved the Tranji dance, the dance that Travis and Heidi did around the bench, seeing Allison come back with Ivan was great, and on.
I also felt bad for Benji when Cat first went to read the card and said, "I'm sorry, you're going to have to wait till after the break." I knew she was going to say this (and she did to Travis too), but poor Benji has gotten pulled around by the judges and everyone soooo many times, I think they do it cause it kinda goes along w/ who he is though.
Over all it was great and all I know is now I can't wait to go to the tour! I have the tickets just need to wait for the clock to spin!
P.S. Oh yea, one of the showings in NY sold out in under 11 minutes once tickets went on sale! I knew they sold fast, but never would have guessed that quick, I was guessing like 30min-an hour. Anyways, for those going to the tour, maybe I'll see you there as well!

So You Think You Can Dance Top 10 Results Avg Score: 9.24 Total Ratings: 14 Total Reviews: 4 |
The opening dance by the group was fantastic. I thought it was very entertaining and done well. I only noticed 4 girls dancing in it though! Where was the 5th I wonder. I think it was Natalie who was not in it, though it could have been Allison, couldn't say for sure. I would like to know why.
I think the two that went home, Dmitry and Martha, were the right two. I was glad to see that it was them. I was kinda sad to see Dmitry go because I would like to see more from him, I just don't think he gave it. As Nigel said, Dmitry has a great sense of humor. I think this is true, I just wish he would show it a more. Stop going for the chest and bring out the humor instead. Martha, well I just don't think she was giving as much as the rest.
Ivan and Ryan I think are the next two to go for the males. Though Ryan is a great dancers it seems everyone wants to see more "personality" in his dancing, hopefully he brings it out more. As for the girls, I don't know, I love the rest of them equally. At first I wasn't a fan for Heidi, but that has changed since she has learned to control her facial expressions more. So now, the top 4 girls, in my opinion as well, are left and I don't know who I want of them to win.

Lexx... A hard one to describe. This show has got to be one of the weirder ones (while still being a good show) out there. Everything about the show was weird. The characters... the ship (a dragonfly?)... With it being so strange I loved every episode I saw and was VERY sad when they stopped running it. I thought the episodes were all designed very well and it had a good plot (though wierd). This was/and is my favorite Sci-Fi show (next to Star Trek Voyager I guess).
One part of me would like it brought back because it was so good, but I don't know if it would be the same at all if brought back so the other side of me is saying no, just get the older episodes to watch again.
