It's been a while

I haven't been on tv.com in quite a while. Been so busy with summer courses and work. It's been good tho b/c if Ididn't have so much stuff to do, I'd prolly be on the Internet longer than what's good for me. But I'll be on tv.com more often when the fall shows start premiering.

I've already taken note of when my shows are premiering. Can't wait for House, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Office, Grey's Anatomy, and Smallville. Thursday is gonna be tough, trying to figure which shows I'm gonna watch (between Office, G.A., and Smallville). Hopefully ABC shows re-runs of Grey's on Fridays, like it used to sometimes.

Only a few more weeks til the fall season starts. But then, school will start soon. Oh, well, can't win 'em all.

1 year anniversary

Well, I've been a member of tv.com and the other CNET Networks Entertainment websites for a year now. It's been pretty good. I've gone up 14 levels, become editor for 3 people, and made over 50 friends in the span ofa year.

This site is really good when it comes to my shows and the forums are fun to read and give one's opinions on. Oh, and the chats are fun too. Lotsa stuff to do on tv.com. here's to another eventful year.

before i see ocean's 13

I actually have to get to the movietheater and buy a ticket, dur. But I also want to give a short premise on why I wanna see Ocean's 13.

First off, it's a star-studded spectacle. There's Clooney, Damon, Pitt, Cheadle, Mac, Pacino, Barkin, and a whole slew of guys that make the movie fun to watch.

Then, there's Ellen Barkin . I got into the Ocean's movies around 2 to 2 and a half weeks ago when I read an article on Barkin, who by the way is the only lead female in this upcoming trequel. In that, my borderline obsession started . I was looking up anything and everything on Barkin, reading magazine articles and changing my icons to her visage.

This last week alone, I actuallywatched Extra, ET, and Access Hollywood for any news and updates on the Ocean's 13 movie. Of course, the big news came on Wednesday when the media reported on Tuesday's L.A. premiere. Oh, how I wish I was there to see the gang in person. But I did see them on TV. There was even an E! special on that same premiere and I totally watched it on Thursday when it aired.

Continuing with my fascination with the movie, I stayed up this week watching Letterman, Leno, and any other late night talk show to see any cast member from the movie. I had someone to look forward to every night. There was Damon, Clooney, Carl Reiner, Andy Garcia, Ellen Barkin . The only one I missed was Don Cheadle, who was Conan and it was really late that night and I was very sleepy at like just 11.

So that's my premise. I really hope that this trequel lives up to the hype, since I've been following all the things the stars of it are doing. Well, I'm off. Gotta go and clean around the house and get ready to go see themovie with my friend, who is also a fan of the stars. When I get the time again, I'll post another blog about the movie. Laterz.

This thing is so cute! A big thanks to ejwlover b/c she had this on her profile and I got it from there.

I think what's so cute is that it has this concentrated look on it's face, and it's so determined to move its arms over and over. It just cracks me up.

Haha! I am easily amused.

a little experimenting

I want to see if I can properly put pics on my blog. Hope this works.

Oh sweet! Now I can put in my two-cents on this movie.

I just saw this movie and it was really good. Dustin Hoffman is sooo hilarious and does a great impersonation of a woman. Now I know what all the hype was about with this movie. It's definitely a top-notch comedy.

The characters are silly looking and the voiceovers were described by some older people I know to be so similar to how kids these days talk. Mr. Meaty airs on after Avatar and I thought I'd have a look and see. It's not that bad. Josh and Parker work at this fast food restaurant and manage to have their own side adventures at work and around the mall. This is a good show. I usually don't like shows like this, I don't really like South Park or Family Guy, so it's saying something when I give a good rating for Mr. Meaty.

This was a nice romantic episode for the captain. Usually Piccard is the steadfast, resilient leader who has so much to do that he can't have time for himself. In this episode, he manages to get in a relationship with someone on board. I, like many other fans of the show, want the captain to be happy, and it seemed that he would finally be happy for about half the show. Neela, the science officer (and lieutenant commander), is musically talented, smart and seems like a good match for the captain. Even Dr. Beverly Crusher is a little jealous. That was entertaining to see the two women interact for that short scene. Obviously Crusher is crushing on Piccard herself. When Neela had to go on that dangerous mission, I was like "What?! She could die!" I was shocked when the solar thing happened and when Neela didn't respond when Piccard was trying to contact her. I was sure she and some of her crew were dead. I was so relieved when she made it, and heartbroken for the couple when they called it quits. They looked good together. All in all, it was a nice episode.

This was a great episode. I was flipping through the channels and saw that it was the beginning of the show; I decided to watch. It was by chance that I picked this show to watch because I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed watching it. The best thing about the show was Gordon's singing. It resembled the Sirens and their mysterious, alluring singing. I cracked up when the camera shot ended up showing it was Gordon singing. I was again happy when he sang at the end to vanqish the banshee. I still remember how the singing went. Oh, man! Hilarious! And pleasing to the eyes and ears.

All of season 1 of the show has been leading up to this amazing finale. The fate of the Northern Water tribe, and possibly the world, rests in the hands of Aang and the other waterbenders. This is classical storytelling vamped up in neo-anime style. The main hero, Aang, is put in a position where he is vulnerable so that he may find answers to help stop the invading Fire Nation fleet. This was a great way to render Aang helpless and open for Zuko to capture. The audience sees more of Katara's potential to be a great water-bending master as she does her best to protect Aang from Zuko. The fighting sequences were brilliantly displayed, there's a little bit of humor to foil against the grave atmosphere of the whole situation, and the characters grow more into themselves. More tension, hate, and fighting continue as the stakes get higher; sacrifices are made to save countless lives. The storytelling aided by the illustrations make the show even better. The story is similar to many other great stories from the past but there are new twists and turns that separate this from the rest. It's a good thing I'm not a person who can tell what's about to happen and figure out the plot in advance. I would have spoiled everything if I did figure things out. I like to be (pleasantly) surprised and I was, and satisfied, after watching this finale.

This episode was perfect. The best parts were the beginning and the end. Starting out and ending as it did, it definitely got the audience hooked. Kaitlyn Olsen did the best acting of her part as Dee so far in this series. It took steroids to do that, but that's part of the show. The audience sees the coniving minds of Dennis and Mac, more so Dennis when he lures Mac to fight in place of Charlie. I'm pretty sure Charlie and Dee would have won their fights if they didn't get arrested. I knew Dee was going to find out somehow that Charlie was taking her steroids, but before that they were too hyped up on the pills to notice. This episode was brilliant and Danny Devito did his part to add in more laughs. Oh man, the ending was just brilliant. It was so like Frank to do that and then run away. I was lmao a good while after the show.
